Using the concept of 'PLAY’ as a theme the students in this class will critically examine past projects to rethink and recreate another iteration of the pop-up chairs as an interactive device inlandscape that supports both individual needs and can become a collaborative space for various functions. This installation will foster a sense of curiosity and discovery through interactive experiential spaces that will invite users to explore and engage. Using strategies of modular pre-fabricated components in plywood and joinery tactics that create a 3-dimensional pattern the intervention will be lightweight that can be deployed in multiple configurations in venues across the campus or community spaces.
