“My stay at the hospice was life changing”

Marion spent three weeks on our Inpatient Unit, where our specialist team helped her with pain management.

“I didn’t know so many wonderful people existed all in one place. It’s been a life changing experience for me. I’ve been a carer all my life, but I was worried when it was suggested I come into the hospice. But I needn’t have been. They were truly wonderful, have got my pain under control and I’ve returned home. Every day was a good day while I was there. The staff and volunteers would come in and chat, and after a few days it was like seeing friends. I’ve never experienced care like it. The stay has changed my whole mindset, I’m now making each day the best it can be.”
