Application for NLGI Poster Competition: For Students, Postdocs, and Early Careerists Dear Researcher: Please carefully read and then complete each section. All requested information must be provided. Incomplete applications cannot be evaluated until the missing information is supplied. Complete the application form and send it along with your C.V./Resume, attachments, and proposal to nlgi@nlgi.org. Only email applications can be accepted. Submission deadline: March 1, 2026. Notification of acceptance will be sent shortly after this date. 10-12 participants will be selected. All selected participants will receive a complimentary Annual Meeting registration as well as travel costs and room accommodations. They will receive a maximum of $5,000 that will cover travel expenses (roundtrip airfare or mileage), airport transfer (i.e. Uber) if flying, hotel accommodations, F&B daily per diem for meals not provided by NLGI and NLGI meeting registration. Any unused funds must be returned to NLGI. The poster must be related to the lubricating grease industry, but the specific topics can be very broad, including literature reviews, proposed work, research results, equipment designs, new performance tests, novel applications, etc. Poster research topics can be co-authored by faculty and other researchers. Posters can be no larger than 48 x 48 inches. An author must be present at the poster display during the judging session at NLGI’s Annual Meeting, June 8th-June 10th, in La Quinta, CA. The posters will be judged by a conference committee, and awards will be given to the students, postdocs, or early careerists of the best posters. Early careerists are defined as having worked in the lubricant industry for 5 years or less. Only students are eligible for the gift certificate/monetary award. Winners will be announced during the closing party at NLGI’s Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 11th. They will be featured on NLGI’s website and publications, including The Spokesman magazine, Grease World newsletter, LinkedIn, etc.
