The Family Kitchen

Das Herz der Familie schlägt in der Küche. Im Grunde genommen ist eine Familienküche ein echter „OffenfürAllesRaum“: Es wird gelacht und geweint. Gespielt und gelernt. Diskutiert und entschieden. Aber natürlich auch gekocht und gegessen – oft auch gemeinsam mit den kleinen und großen Freunden der Familie. All das muss in der Planung berücksichtigt werden. Die Oberflächenmaterialien sollten dabei einiges aushalten können – und die Gestaltung der Küche auf die verschiedenen Familienmitglieder zugeschnitten sein. So können hoch eingebaute Geräte Unfälle verhindern, während Unterschränke mit Öffnungsunterstützung das Leben aller erleichtern. Besonders wichtig ist aber genügend Stauraum. Hier sollte das zur Verfügung stehende Platzangebot bestens genutzt werden – wofür nicht nur intelligente und hochflexible Ausstattungslösungen, sondern auch die große Variabilität an Höhen und Tiefen der einzelnen Schrankkorpusse sorgen. So kann sich das Familienleben frei entfalten.

The heart of the family beats in the kitchen. Essentially a family kitchen is a space that is really open to everything: somewhere to laugh and cry, play and learn, discuss and decide. Of course, it’s also a place to cook and eat – often together with friends of the family, both young and old. All of this must be considered in the planning. Surface materials should be able to withstand a good deal – and kitchen design should be tailored to the different members of the family. Appliances installed at higher levels can prevent accidents, while base units with an opening system make life easier for all. Adequate storage space is particularly important. Available space should be optimally utilised – this is ensured not only by intelligent and highly flexible equipment solutions, but also by the great variability in height and depth of the individual cabinet carcases. Thus family life can freely unfold.

El corazón de la familia late en la cocina. Básicamente, una cocina familiar es un verdadero espacio «abierto a todo». Un sitio donde se ríe y se llora, se juega y se estudia, se discute y se decide. Pero también donde se cocina y se come, a veces con los amigos de la familia, grandes y pequeños. Todo esto debe tenerse en cuenta en el proyecto. Los materiales de la superficie deben, por tanto, ser resistentes y la cocina debe estar diseñada teniendo en cuenta a los distintos miembros de la familia. Así se evitan accidentes instalando aparatos en alto, mientras que los armarios bajos con ayuda para la apertura hacen a todos la vida más fácil. Muy importante es que haya suficiente espacio de almacenaje. Se debe aprovechar al máximo el espacio disponible, de lo que se encargan no solo las soluciones inteligentes y flexibles de equipamiento, sino también la gran variabilidad de alturas y profundidades de los armazones. La vida familiar se desarrolla así libremente.
