Tonight we’ll celebrate the past year’s successes, look to what’s ahead, and honor the people and organizations who are helping us grow together.

Throughout the year, hearing from you, our members, has been extremely valuable. I believe it’s what makes our NKY Chamber so unique. Our Board, our over 1,100 member volunteers, all of you – your advice and counsel, your care and commitment – are what help us continue to live out our mission to promote and support the development of strong businesses and a vibrant economy in the Northern Kentucky region, through leadership and advocacy, resulting in a better quality of life for all.

Your membership is key to our collective success. We are excited to have you join us tonight and look forward to working with each of you as we continue to help our region thrive, by promoting business growth and an improved economy in Northern Kentucky.

On behalf of the NKY Chamber Board of Directors and our amazing team, I thank each of you for your engagement and support. Together, we will continue to make our region a wonderful place to live, work, play, learn and give back!

NORTHERN KENTUCKY CHAMBER

CHAIR OF THE BOARD LETTER

Welcome to Annual Dinner, presented by Fifth Third Bank, the NKY Chamber’s biggest event of the year and the region’s largest gathering of business and community leaders. It is an honor to serve as your Board Chair for a second term and to join you this evening as we celebrate the many accomplishments that make Northern Kentucky such a wonderful place to live and work.

This year’s theme, “Growing Together,” captures both the strength of our Chamber and the collective energy that drives Northern Kentucky forward. Over the past year, we’ve seen exciting progress across the Chamber, from our expansion to the OneNKY Center in Covington and the launch of Chamber Center CoWorks, to impactful workforce and advocacy initiatives, the leadership of our business councils, and innovative programs that provide businesses and their employees with the tools, connections, and resources they need to succeed.

As we look to the year ahead, our priorities are clear: deliver best-in-class service to our nearly 1,800 members, advance policies that enhance our region’s ability to grow, attract, and retain world class talent, and create opportunities for businesses of all sizes to thrive. Above all, we will continue working together to ensure Northern Kentucky grows stronger as a community.

Congratulations to all of tonight’s honorees. Your leadership and achievements exemplify the spirit of progress and collaboration that define our region.

Thank you for joining us this evening and for your continued support of the NKY Chamber. I look forward to the year ahead as we build on our momentum and work to ensure Northern Kentucky remains a vibrant and thriving community for all.

This year’s honoree is Jeanne Schroer, CRE, president and CEO of The Catalytic Fund.

Jeanne’s work with The Catalytic Fund has seen the not-for-profit company raise $32 million in private capital to make quality place-based investments in Northern Kentucky. The company’s investments which include innovative financing products, development services and vibrancy initiatives to convert community revitalization plans into completed projects with lasting, measurable impact. Examples include Hotel Covington, the Kent and Boone Block Lofts and Burton Building among others, which resulted in more than $450 million in new investment in Northern Kentucky since 2013.

In addition to her 40-plus years of professional work, Jeanne is active in many community initiatives and professional organizations, receiving several awards for her accomplishments and service along the way. This includes a 2014 Outstanding Women of Northern Kentucky award, the NKY Chamber’s 2019 Wm. T. (Bill) Robinson III Northern Kentucky Economic Development Award and the 2024 Kenton County Pioneer Award.

The NKY Chamber, particularly the NKYP program, has been a huge part of my career growth. My involvement has given me access to new relationships, business partners, leadership opportunities, and lasting friendships. I’ve learned when you surround yourself with other young professionals who are dedicated to furthering the Northern Kentucky region, you are able to move mountains.

I’m also a huge fan of the NKYP Event Pass which has allowed me to make one annual investment to expand my network and take full advantage of everything the NKY Chamber offers.

IMAGEMAKER AWARD

The ImageMaker Award, sponsored by St. Elizabeth Healthcare, is presented to an individual or company bringing national or international attention to the Northern Kentucky community through their achievements.

This year’s honoree is Hotel Covington.

The story of Hotel Covington begins, like many great Kentucky tales, with a horse race. Following the win of a longshot named “Knowledge,” John Coppin used his winnings to build Kentucky’s first modern skyscraper and high-end department store, a bet which would lay the foundation for what is now Hotel Covington.

With 114 guestrooms, dining, intimate lounges and outdoor courtyards, Hotel Covington stands as a tribute to “bold ambition, timeless style and local character.” That vision extends to its sister establishment, North by Hotel Covington. Located in the home of the former Covington YMCA, North features 53 apartment-style accommodations designed for guests seeking extra space with elevated comfort. It is also home to “The Lightwell,” the hotel’s premier event space, and the acclaimed Knowledge Bar & Social Room.

Hotel Covington and North by Hotel Covington provide a storied destination for locals and guests to meet, dine and sleep in style.

HORIZON AWARD

The Horizon Award, presented by Horizon Community Foundation, recognizes the extraordinary contributions of individuals who exemplify dedication, integrity, and honorable service to Northern Kentucky through community leadership.

This year’s honorees are Shane Noem and Tara JohnsonNoem.

As the founder and president of Roebling Solutions, Shane serves clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to family-owned businesses, relying on his nearly two decades of experience to connect them to policy makers. He served in senior roles in the reelection campaigns for Senator Mitch McConnell and was the liaison to the Kentucky General Assembly and local government officials. Shane served three years as field representative in Senator McConnell’s official office and spent several years in a fundraising and community relations position with the Boy Scouts. Shane is the elected chairman of the Kenton County Republican Party Executive Committee, served as an officer of the Republican Party of Kentucky, is an appointed member on the City of Fort Mitchell’s Board of Ethics and is the Advocacy Chair for the Covington Business Council.

Shane is an active volunteer with the NKY Chamber and Leadership NKY’s Day in Frankfort. An Eagle Scout, he has been involved in the Dan Beard Council, Scouting America as a volunteer for 20 years.

As executive director of the Northern Kentucky Area Development District (NKADD), Tara oversees a staff of 88 and an annual budget exceeding $48 million in the areas of aging and disability services, community development, public administration and workforce development. Her career is full of public service, including tenures as the director of government relations for United Way of Greater Cincinnati, community and economic development roles for The Catalytic Fund, Vision 2015, Northern Kentucky Tri-ED (now BE-NKY) and the NKADD’s public administration division.

A scouting volunteer and board member for the Dan Beard Council, Tara received the Trailblazer District Award of Merit in 2022. She is a member of the Kentucky Association of District Directors, where she chairs the Workforce Committee and co-chairs the Legislative Committee. The Cincinnati Business Courier recognized her as part of its Forty Under 40 class in 2018, and in 2024, she was recognized by the NKY Chamber as an Outstanding Woman of Northern Kentucky.

WALTER R. DUNLEVY/FRONTIERSMAN AWARD

Established in 1968, the Walter R. Dunlevy/Frontiersman Award recognizes an individual who has a lifelong history of outstanding service to the Northern Kentucky community, exhibits outstanding service to their profession or industry, and exemplifies the highest standards of personal integrity and family responsibility.

This year’s honoree is Boone County Judge/Executive Gary W. Moore.

A lifelong Kentuckian, Judge/Executive Moore learned by the value of public service from his father who proudly served as Pendleton County Sheriff in the 1970s. His impressive tenure has seen him continue that legacy by putting Boone County residents first with strategic investments in and bolstering public safety, promoting parks and recreation, land conservation and preservation and infrastructure improvements.

With purposeful planning and steady leadership, Judge/Executive Moore has attracted good paying jobs to the region, secured state and federal infrastructure funding and ensured residents have access to quality services and resources that make Boone County a great place to live, work and raise a family.

He has held leadership positions in national, state, and regional organizations and recently completed a term as president of OKI Regional Council of Governments for the Greater Cincinnati region. Judge/Executive Moore also serves on the National Association of Counties and the Kentucky Association of Counties Board of Directors, previously serving as president of both organizations.
