KEY BENEFITS OF MONEL ROUND BAR
Monel Round Bars combine corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and durability. They are well suited for demanding marine, chemical, and industrial applications.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance
Durable & MarineGrade Performance
High Strength & Toughness
MECHANICAL & PHYSICAL PROPERTIES Monel 400 offers a tensile strength of approximately 480–585 MPa in annealed bar conditions and a yield strength of around 170–240 MPa, depending on the material condition. It also provides excellent ductility, with an elongation of approximately 35–60%, and has a density of about 8.83 g/cm³. Monel K-500 provides higher tensile and yield strength after age hardening, along with excellent hardness and wear resistance. It maintains useful mechanical properties at low temperatures, making it particularly suitable for high-strength marine components and demanding industrial applications.
COMMON APPLICATIONS Monel alloys are widely used across demanding industries due to their excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and durability. In the marine industry, they are used for propeller shafts, pump shafts, marine fasteners, valves, and seawater-handling components. In the oil and gas industry, they are suitable for oil-well tools, high-strength components, and sour-service equipment. For chemical processing, Monel is commonly used in pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and other chemical-processing equipment. It is also used in aerospace components, pulp and paper equipment, springs, and precision components, where reliable performance and resistance to harsh environments are required.
