Make this summer the summer to remember! These are your child’s most precious years of growth and development. Choose a camp that will allow them to expand out of their comfort zone, learn new skills, meet new friends, and become more independent and confident. There is nothing more rewarding than sparking children’s imagination and inspiring them to dream. They may learn life skills. One day, they may tell you that camp made a difference in their lives.
Traditional day camps have everything under the sun. Your child may choose from an array of experiences and challenges. Many are surrounded by woods and lakes; some may be on a campus environment. Other special interest camps allow one to fine tune a specific skill or interest. They may select a specialized program from the arts, theater, sports, sciences or academics. Perhaps consider a sleepaway camp in the woods where they can unplug completely; live in cabins and connect with nature. It’s important to gather information early, and then be able to compare and contrast.
Attending one or more camp fairs will definitely provide you with a weath of new found knowledge. Dozens of applicable camps will be at your fingertips. Mingle and meet with all sorts of camps. Ask the camp directors and staff questions, watch videos, attend an open house and tour facilities. Do your research and search our website for new camp ideas. See right column and page 12 for dates. Best of Luck!
