HudsonWay IMMERSION SCHOOL

Still Registering for the 2020-2021 Year HudsonWay Immersion School is offering a choice of either On-Site 5 full days per week or Remote learning in a safe, nurturing environment. The immersion program is taught in two languages: English and either Mandarin Chinese or Spanish!

Elementary students can join without prior language background and become proficient after one year. Students learn all core subjects in two languages.

Children ages 2 ½ - 5 develop all the early childhood development skills (fine and gross motor skill development, social-emotional skills, literacy and cognitive development) in a traditional program, but are also immersed in two languages.

Beginning September 2020, they will be extending their program with Grade 6 and adding a grade each year through NJ KIDS FOLLOW US ON

Grade 8. Incoming 6th graders without prior language experience will be placed on a new track called the Accelerated Language Track preparing students for advanced language courses in HS leading to a Global Seal of Biliteracy.

As a smaller school in a facility that can normally accommodate twice as many students, they are able to safely social distance at 6 ft.

Being a smaller school provides advantages in managing the safety of students.

Horseback Riding Lessons and Programs FlexCamp, Troop, Pep Programs

SHS’ flexible camp programs called “FlexCamp™” which is offered any full or half-day of the year. Participants spend an exciting day at the Stables riding at least twice or sometime three times, and the remaining part of the day learn about Barn Management, as well as practice hands-on skills under the staff Instructors or barn managers. Drop off any time after 8am and pick up any time before closing. “FlexCamp™” is a great option if you’re looking for less structure and supervision than the regular camp, and more interaction with the horses and staff.

SHS’ Troop Horseback Riding Program is held during the Fall, Winter and Spring.

Whether your child is a beginner or advanced rider, Troop Program is a great social sport allowing the riders to learn together. Not only do they learn to ride horses, riders also develop relationships with the horses; learn responsibility, love, and trust; improve their balance; develop self-confidence, are physically active, and enjoy the great outdoors.

NJ KIDS FOLLOW US ON

Pep Program is their Petite Equestrian Program for smaller children (age 3 to 6).

This program allows children to acquire basic horsemanship skills in small groups, while learning to ride.

Private and semi-private riding lessons for riders who want more flexibility in scheduling or individual attention. Private lessons are a great way for students to have one-on-one instruction, developing strong bonds with the instructor and their horse. We welcome beginners to advanced riders.

Seaton Hackney Stables is following all NJ Safety Protocols. Once mounted on the horse, masks can be lowered and will need to be brought back up once back in the main yard. All tack and areas are disinfected and cleanliness is a priority.

ROBOTICS: VIRTUAL CLASSES & SOCIALLY DISTANT COMPETITIONS Robot Revolution is offering an exciting introduction to robotics this Fall with Virtual Classes and Socially distant robotics competitions.

Award winning classes are now available to anyone interested in robotics. Right from your house, join online classes with take home equipment. Students will be provided with kits to use during online class time. Online classes will be 10 week sessions, each session meets 1.5 hrs per week with no more than 4 students.

All students will also join the largest robotics team in NJ. Competitions will happen with safe and limited exposure during the season. Students in grades
