One should always start by creating their LinkedIn profile. Start joining the different groups related to the careers that you are interested in, and attend any in-person or Zoom events to start getting to know people who work in the field. Making these connections can place you on the radar for professionals and open several opportunities. For example, after connecting with people you can ask to do an "information interview" with them. An informational interview is an informal conversation with someone who works in a career of interest to you. It differs from a formal job interview in that you ask questions to gain information about the industry or a specific company. Some questions to ask can be found here

Preparing for an interview takes a lot more than what meets the eye or Googling a list of common interview questions. You must make a great first impression appearance-wise (no wrinkly suits here!), have a great knowledge of your target company and its product, and, of course, know exactly how to convey that you're the perfect fit for the job. Some tips include but are not limited to:

• Researching the company and its products and your interviewers.

• Prepare questions for your interviewer.

• Plan your interview the night before.

• Be respectful and include professional language.

• Be authentic and positive.
