Long threads interlaced together
CONCEPT Weave from Architecture. The concept in all its essence is about weaving a fabric through some major elements of architecture and design. “Architecture is, Weave of different cultures”. The core of the concept is bringing together different cultures. Weave basically is form (fabric or a fabric item) created by interlacing long threads. The principle of weave that stands testimony to the concept is that it can make a complex story or pattern from a number of interconnected elements. There are two main elements in the concept, contours and culture. these elements have much in common unlike as they seem. Culture and contours both have a flow. They have elements connecting them together, but each stands out of its own accord. This hub is designed among the contoured landscape so as to let it seamlessly fall into the surroundings, but it also stands out for its mordern design in the traditional fabric.

THE GREEN CHAIN INITIATIVE REVIVING TBILISI’S GREEN SPACE (URBAN DESIGN) Tbilisi has underwent several chapters of heavy urbanisation along the riverside, since the early 19th century. With urbanisation, the riverside residential and open spaces were converted to or occupied by the industial sector and their roads. As the city flourished, these established roads became important primary roads, resulting in it’s increased width, thereby reduced riverside space. The river’s organic form was moulded; creating defined boundary. A strip of land was reclaimed in Dada’ena area; trimming the river distributary. With growing population parks and open spaces are repeatedly trimmed to acommodate their needs and requirements.

There are 6 major parks within the given catchment Most of the parks are within the walkable distance from each other, however the all function as transitionpoint rather than recreational space. We propose converting of the vernacular bridge between 9th april park and dadaena park into a pedestrian extension of the two parks. The aim of the green bridge is not only to establish connection between the parks (9th april & dadaena), but also to create a link between rustaveli and the green chain. This will in turn complete the fragmented segments of dadaena into a complete whole park; making it more accessible and pedestrian friendly.
The bridge helps to connect dadaena into one.

The Rike theatre was overloaded with the volume of glass and steel that produces visual obstruction for perception of the park.
