W hat’s Inside Elisabel Balderrama, instructor for Creative Photography (pg 33) is a professional photographer based in San Antonio. She received a Bachelors in Fine Art Photography from The Art Institute of Austin in 2012. She has been photographing weddings and family portraits for 8 years and has dabbled in fine art and food photography as well.

Victor Maas is a general practice a t t o r n ey h e r e i n S a n A n t o n i o.

He has personally flipped or wholesaled more than 100 homes in the last ten years and shares his exper tise in the new Real Estate Investing 101 series and other real estate classes on buying, selling, and flipping homes (pg 14).

Julie Cohen holds an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia University where she also taught undergraduate writing. She is a former managing editor and contributing writer for Sauce Magazine, a food magazine based out of St. Louis.

She has personally done Yoga and Pilates since 1998 and has a love of health, wellness, and psychology. This program provides professional training in creating a website using Adobe Dreamweaver CS6, JavaScript, XHTML and CSS. It consists of 12 sessions for a total of 36 hours of instruction and practical exercises in what you need to know to create a website.

This course will have a strong emphasis on Cascading Style Sheets, from fundamentals to styling menus and forms. You will create and manage styles using CSS within Dreamweaver.

Instructor Steve Ramirez will show you how to use Dreamweaver to resolve style conflicts, and the best way to create lightweight, sitewide style sheets. The CSS Topics include styling form elements and controlling layout and positioning through styles. Learn about archaeology alongside your child!

Encourage your child’s interest in history and science in this fun workshop taught by an experienced archaeologist at UTSA’s Center for Archaeological Research. Start the day with a tour of a working archaeology laboratory and a mock dig. You will also hear presentations on different cultures as well as archaeological methods. Additionally, hands-on activities will reinforce the topics in a fun and interactive way. Children ages 8 and up are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult. Price is for one parent and child. Registration All classes, including free

classes, require pre-registration. Many classes fill up so register early to avoid disappointment. If space is available, registrations are taken until the first day of the class. Early registrations are encouraged to avoid class cancellations due to low enrollment. Registration for some cooking and crafting classes may close two business days before class time to allow instructors to purchase supplies for class.

Fees Financial support for our program

comes from class fees. Tuition fees are due at registration. Visa and Mastercard can be used to pay for class online, by phone, by fax, by mail and in person. We can also accept cash and check payments in our office.

Refund Policy Refunds minus a $6

We cannot process refund requests by email.

Instructors are not authorized to approve requests for refunds.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED IF YOU FAIL TO ATTEND CLASS. Refunds for payments made by credit card will be processed to same card used and will take 24-48 hours for processing. Refunds for cash and check payments will be made by check and will take 4 to 6 weeks for processing.

Cancellations If we cancel a class, you

will be offered the choice of an alternative class, electronic voucher, or full refund.

Electronic vouchers are valid for one year from date of issue and can be used toward any class.

Confir mation If you provide an email

address at registration, class confirmation will be emailed to you. A class reminder will be sent via email 24-48 hours prior to class, but students are expected to manage their class registrations and schedules.

Our instructors come from varied backgrounds, from Northside teachers to business leaders, and all share one characteristic: a passion for sharing their area of interest.

If you have an idea for a class, please visit our website and submit a proposal detailing the course you would like to teach and what makes you the perfect person to teach it. Our coordinators review all applications based on our program needs and student requests. We plan four to five months in advance for our semesters, and work to select seasonallyappropriate classes. If your proposal fits a need, the coordinators will be in touch to further discuss your ideas.

ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (ESOL CLASSES) English for Speakers of Other Languages classes help adults improve their English proficiency with curriculum focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. ESOL students will gain knowledge and skills that will help them become active and informed parents, workers and community members. 397-8109 DISTANCE LEARNING Distance learning classes are designed for students who are unable to attend regularly scheduled Adult Education classes Monday through Friday.
