How
would you summarize your career path thus far and personal background? What energy do you bring to publishing?
I graduated from my BA then my MA of History in 2017 and have since lived in Europe and Mexico, in natural Sagittarius style. I essentially went to university because I liked to write and was effective at getting my point across in essay format. Today, I tend to have several creative projects on the go at any given time, which is why I also work from home with various contracts I fund my lifestyle mainly with Administrative work and have done so since the pandemic. Nothing too exciting, but I did do some admin work for a travel agent which was quite entertaining! Pre-pandemic, I worked in retail after arriving back on Canadian soil after a stint in Greece.
In my personal life, I continue to express myself creatively by always making sure I have something I’m working on that puts me in ‘the flow.’ Whether that’s tarot or reiki clients, writing my next book, doing energy work, working on The Northern Magazine, or doing some recording, I believe that it’s very important to make time for projects that add sparkle to day-to-day life, whenever possible.

My diverse background has really allowed me to step into the shoes of whoever may be receiving the work I contribute to or do myself, which in turn brings increased clarity, effectiveness, and magnetism to the project Of course, you can’t guess how everyone will react (and you don’t need to!), however it’s paramount to understand how to talk to an audience whether that’s in writing, on video, or in person.
In my university days, I learned how to argue relatively boring topics with flair and clarity because I was taught to assume that my reader would have absolutely zero previous knowledge of the topic at hand. While I know that’s not 100% applicable all the time, it is a habit that has served me well in communicating ‘out there’ ideas to an audience that may be only peripheral to it. As an editor, I put myself in the position of the audience to ensure the smoothest communication, while still getting the original point across and keeping things grammatically correct!
When did you first identify yourself as a writer? What project or work are you most proud of completing?
I knew I was a writer when I was probably about 11 years old, I would write song lyrics and take my grandparent’s ATV back far into their property and sing them by myself! I remember reading the lyrics back in my bedroom at night and hiding them.
The project I’m most proud of is publishing The Guidebook to the Goddess Who Became the World with Ninth House Publishing! I’m so happy that I had Gracey’s support and push in getting it done, and knowing that it’s actually helped people is such a dream come true for me.
Whatareasofexpertisedoyouoffer?
I’ve been trained academically in History and graduated from the Tri-University Master’s Program in 2017, based in Waterloo, ON at Wilfrid Laurier University. This time in my life was writing paper after paper, culminating in my thesis on Cold War relations – you can check some of my papers here! I learned what was necessary about grammar and communication of effective arguments, which now allows me to understand how compelling and accurate writing is done I’ve kept my skills sharp by continuing to write both with my personal and professional projects, and by reading for pleasure.

How do you like to express yourself creatively?
I love making videos! Mostly for my YouTube, but if I’m feeling playful during the day I’ll make a TikTok just for fun. If I’m working on getting out of a creative slump, I’ll create some sort of art – like a painting of words I need to see daily or a collage.

Who are some of your favorite authors?

I’m a lover girl at heart, so I have to say T. S. Eliot (poet) would be my favourite author in the traditional sense. As far as impact as my life goes, John Lamb Lash’s seminal work, Not In His Image, has profoundly influenced me by bridging my relationship with Earth to my relationship with the Goddess. It is incredible work!
In your free time, what do you enjoy doing?

I’m recording for my YouTube channel, on X/Twitter, writing, running, meditating or chilling with my man! I’m fairly introverted so I love spending most of my time at home and will go out for dinner or drinks perhaps once a week to keep things balanced.
