When did you first discover astrology?
Kayla & her Uncle
In high school, my friends and I were definitely talking about astrology but it was just our Sun signs. I don’t think I really dove off the deep end per se until maybe after college. One random college night out my best friend and I decided to get tattoos. What did I get? The Scorpio symbol for my Sun sign. So basic, yet I couldn't think of anything else and I wouldn't have been able to tolerate much more!
I could barely sit still for that. I also thought it would be cute because my uncle and I shared the same birthday Since he passed on way too soon a couple years after, I was glad I got it as my own way of honoring him! That is also what I told my mom, a woman without tattoos, who freaked out that I got one Sorry Mother! I do believe I really was meant to not only get this tattoo but have it on my shoulder because I have my Sun in my Third House and I found out that the Third House (Gemini) rules the shoulders Meant to be!

Who are some of the voices in the astrology community you credit with getting you further involved with the ancient artform?
First of all I have to say the astrology community does NOT feel like a community! I have seen people be unbelievably cruel to their fellow astrologers and talk down to people in their comments outside of the community who are just trying to learn. I was a bit nervous about joining it but someone who I give major credit to and who has been respectful is Gracey. She’s done so much work and is so humble. She was the first person I've seen talk about NFL astrology specifically. It genuinely helped me understand football a lot better and bond with my parents. I took what I learned from her, applied it to the WNBA, and here we are. Also: Empress Atlantis, MindBodyBronx, Shawty Astrology Ashani, Planetmari , Kemi Marie, Sky, Silo, Supermoongirl9, Milkstrology, Soleluneastro, Divinatorydoll, Logan.

When did you first realize you were interested in sports?
Very early on. It runs in my family. My parents love sports. My grandparents love sports. We’re a sports family. I have always heard a game of some sport on or ESPN on in the background when I’m with them or talking to them. My sister tried, but I don’t think she got bit by the sports bug like I did.
Did you ever play sports growing up? What sports did you love playing or watching?
I did ballet really young That’s a sport I then did soccer in my preteen years, then finally basketball in high school. My high school coach was kind enough to let me play for 3 years. I really just joined for social reasons. I’m 5’6. Senior year she basically kicked me off the team. She gave me an ultimatum saying, “either you get your physical done over the weekend and have it on my desk Monday morning or you could get paid as the team manager. ” If I really wanted to be on the team again, I would have figured out the last minute physical but I chose to be the manager. I was better as a fan anyway. I went on to do this job in college too because Lord knows I wasn’t making my college basketball teams, even though they weren’t D1 (Division One).

How about favorite sports moments you witnessed (on TV or in person) and how that impacted your love of sports?
I’m too young to know about the Chicago Bears little dance or the Bulls dynasty, but I remember the White Sox winning the championship As a Sox fan, I try to block out the Cubs winning their championship. I remember my first time seeing Derrick Rose play. I remember meeting one of my favorite sports announcers Stacey King (RIP) after the game I definitely remember the Sky championship on TV. I specifically remember Candace Parker saying, “ preseason I’m coming home to win a championship ” I remember thinking yeah yeah everyone says that (plus you're from Naperville) but then it happened and I was like okay well shut me up then! I have been watching the Sky for as long as I can remember so I was super happy and excited. I remember feeling like this is great for the city. We need to keep up the winning culture.

Let’s talk about more of what makes you amazing as a sports astrologer: your own astrology! What part of your astrology chart screams “sports” the most in your mind?
I have been told it’s my Mars at the "GAME" degree of Sagittarius conjunct my Moon. I also have Jupiter in Sag. And I just realized that my 5th House of recreation is in Capricorn and I love watching the Bulls, who were founded in Capricorn season. My 6th House is Aquarius and the Sky was founded in Aquarius season. Meant to be!
Who are your favorite teams?
All Chicago teams (no Cubs). I’m working on expanding my list but that's it for now!
Who are some of your favorite athletes and why?
I have so many! The list is constantly growing. I’ve noticed that a lot of my favorites are because I have nice synastry with them or we have placements in common. I love so many Scorpio athletes. I’m always rooting for Sag Moon/Mars/Jupiter athletes. And I can relate to so many players who just completed their Saturn return in Pisces
When did you begin to merge astrology with sports?
Last year. It was honestly a “just do it” moment. I took my talents and made a new Twitter account strictly for WNBA and astrology content. I felt like I had seen enough and that I knew enough at least at the time to go for it. Looking back at old tweets I do cringe and I do delete, but I am so proud of myself for just doing it I didn’t care about followers or if nothing came of it. I was doing it for myself. I still am. I also did not like the content that I was already seeing. So you know I was being the zodiac change I wanted to see online, or whatever Gandhi said
Why are women the future of sports astrology in your opinion?
Because women are the future We think so much further ahead of men By the time they think of the idea, we ’ ve already mapped it out and executed it.
What is your favorite sports astrology research moment that you can recall vividly?
I recently got into the NCAA thanks to a group chat I’m in and I was watching the finals this year between South Carolina and UCLA. I noticed that the score differential was the same degree as the moon.
Who are some of your favorite astrologers or astrology books of all time?
Everyone who helped me get further involved in learning astrology that I mentioned!
What are your goals and big dreams with sports astrology?
I’d love to work with my local team, the Sky, of course but also for all the WNBA teams at some point and the league itself. I don’t want to be commissioner but I want to be right there at the head office. It would be pretty cool to eventually build a team of people on my own to specifically work with each team in this growing league as their sports astrologers.
If you could have any athlete’s exact birth time, who would it be and why?
Angel Reese because I need to know if I’m right but I already know that I am. I just need confirmation LOL
Any bold predictions for 2026-2027?
I’m already living in one so I don’t even know what could top this. I can’t believe this is my life.
