ReportForAmerica.org Each year, Report for America holds national recruitment efforts to create a pool of Producer-level candidates that can be placed in local stations. For this cohort, RFA placed 78 journalists in stations across the country from a competitive pool of more than 1,600 applicants. RFA posts for the roles, conducts initial interviews, and provides the station with a narrowed pool of 4 candidates to interview. Four candidates were selected for Nine PBS to interview. A RFA corps service member is selected from that pool. This is a 2-year placement with Nine PBS, at which time we can either end the role or offer the corps member a FT placement outside of the program.
