BTV MOVEMENT REGULATIONS 1ST JUNE – 9TH SEPT)

Following a review of market operations, we are trialling temporary changes to Wednesday sales to improve customer experience and assist buyers purchasing eligible stock.

The revised sale order will operate as follows:

• Scottish and all other eligible calves will sell first (all calves must arrive before 10:00am)

• Scottish and all other eligible store cattle will sell first within their section

• Scottish and all other eligible bulls & weaners will follow the format of:

Bulls → Scottish and all other eligible Bulls → Scottish and all other eligible Weaners → Weaners

To support identification and movement compliance:

• All eligible Scottish livestock will be penned together

• Eligible stock will be clearly marked with a yellow dot on the lot number ticket

This approach will allow Scottish buyers to purchase all livestock eligible for movement back to Scotland in one period, rather than needing to remain for the duration of the sale.
