NOTICE TO PURCHASERS Business Trading Terms and Settlement of Purchases Payment due on Day of Purchase Interest chargeable from date of purchase at 7.25% over Clydesdale Bank base rate at the time, for accounts in default. Purchases shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law in England and Scotland. Accepted forms of payments – direct bank transfer; debit card; cheque – known customers only; bankers draft. 2% surcharge will apply to Business Credit Card payments. If payment is made by credit card, it must be linked to a business bank account. New customers and or agents wishing to purchase on behalf of another party must contact the company’s main office at Carlisle least 48 hours prior to sale, to provide full details and references for authorization. Please note that all lots/items must be settled on the day of purchase and prior to clearance of any stock For the avoidance of doubt H&H reserve the right to contra or keep sale proceeds to offset against outstanding account
Notice to Vendors and Purchasers Scottish BVD Eradication It is the responsibility of each Vendor to ensure that Vendor declarations in relation to the Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (“BVD”) status of all animals provided to Auctioneers are accurate declarations and so far as the Vendor is aware are not misleading as at the date of sale. However, Purchasers should be aware that an accurate Vendor declaration cannot absolutely guarantee that any animal or progeny from any animal is free from BVD or is not a persistently infected (“PI”) animal.- Auctioneers cannot accept any responsibility for the accuracy or reliability of any Vendor declarations and no warranties or guarantees whatsoever are given by the Auctioneers in relation to such Vendor declarations or in relation to the BVD or PI status of any animal. All calving cows and heifers are guaranteed in calf unless otherwise stated at time of sale. Claims must be intimated within 49 days from the date of sale and be accompanied by a Veterinary Surgeon’s certificate stating ear number of animal and the defaulting party will be responsible for all expenses incurred. Cows and Heifers with calves at foot are to be free of calf at time of sale unless otherwise declared.

COVID 19 REGULATIONS WE ARE NOW OPPERATING A STRICT DROP & GO POLICY Only staff and buying customers will be permitted access to the penning areas and sale rings while these measures are in place. • • • • • • • • • • • •
Anyone who has been in contact with a COVID19 case must not attend sale Anyone displaying any illness or symptoms of any illness or has any underlying health problem must not attend FACE MASKS MUST BE WORN by everyone attending the market site at all times Buyers only – only those intending to do business are permitted in the mart with only ONE representative per business Children under the age of 16 and pregnant ladies and must not attend sales General public, trade and other not directly involved in sales must not attend Please use the hand washing/sanitising facilities Social distancing MUST be maintained at all times Track & Trace – those attending must complete Track & Trace on arrival “Luck Money” – this can be dealt with by the office with clear instruction given on the entry forms We strongly request that Vendors adopt the “Drop & Go Policy” Café – Take away facilities for buyers and staff ONLY available between 10am -2pm on sale days

Sold under the conditions of sale as displayed in the mart recommended by the Institute of Auctioneers and Appraisers in Scotland. All heifers offered for sale through this ring are not warranted as breeders unless otherwise stated All Sucklers must be declared at the time of sale Please ensure all paperwork is handed into the office at least 1 hour before the animals enter the sale ring All cattle must be double tagged with Ministry approved tags and information supplied on the respective entry forms Payment will only be made to the exhibitor. No lots can leave the market without a pass slip being issued by the main office All un-entered cattle and those missing their turn in the ballot will be offered for sale at the end of the catalogued entries All purchasers have two working days from the time of sale to satisfy themselves that all documentation received is correct and any discrepancies must be notified to the auctioneers within the time limit It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that any animals destined for the food chain are out with any withdrawal period. This includes antibiotics and anthelmintics that the seller may have given prior to sale
