Notice to Vendors and Purchasers Scottish BVD Eradication It is the responsibility of each Vendor to ensure that Vendor declarations in relation to the Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (“BVD”) status of all animals provided to Auctioneers are accurate declarations and so far as the Vendor is aware are not misleading as at the date of sale. However, Purchasers should be aware that an accurate Vendor declaration cannot absolutely guarantee that any animal or progeny from any animal is free from BVD or is not a persistently infected (“PI”) animal.- Auctioneers cannot accept any responsibility for the accuracy or reliability of any Vendor declarations and no warranties or guarantees whatsoever are given by the Auctioneers in relation to such Vendor declarations or in relation to the BVD or PI status of any animal. CONSIGNORS ARE ADVISED THAT IT IS THEIR SOLE RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT THE CORRECT PASSPORTS FOR EACH SELLING LOT ARE LODGED IN THE OFFICE PRIOR TO SALE. PLEASE ENSURE ALL PASSPORTS ARE SIGNED.
All calving cows and heifers are guaranteed in calf unless otherwise stated at time of sale. Claims must be intimated within 49 days from the date of sale and be accompanied by a Veterinary Surgeon’s certificate stating ear number of animal and the defaulting party will be responsible for all expenses incurred. Cows and Heifers with calves at foot are to be free of calf at time of sale unless otherwise declared.
