General Information & Sale Notes LOCATION: The Sale will be held in the Borderway Mart, Carlisle Cumbria. Motorists should leave the M6 at Junction 43 and follow CARLISLE signs. The Market is on the left hand side of the road within 1/4 mile of M6.

VIEWING - The Sale Sheep will be available for viewing at Borderway Mart, Carlisle on the morning of the sale, or Prior Inspection of the sheep is most welcome by appointment with the vendors (see page 1).

CONDITIONS OF SALE - Sold under the conditions of sale as recommended by The Livestock Auctioneers’ Association.

METHOD OF SALE - All sheep will be sold in guineas (105 pence) and strictly in catalogue order, unless any alteration is announced by the Auctioneers.

PEDIGREE CERTIFICATES - Will be available on sale day from the sales office.

COMMISSIONS - The Auctioneers will dutifully execute commissions to purchase for buyers unable to attend the sale personally, upon receipt of written instructions.

SETTLEMENT AND CLEARANCE OF STOCK - Settlement in full is due immediately at the close of Sale. No animal may leave the Sale Premises without an official ‘Pass Slip’, obtainable only from the Auctioneers upon settlement.

Flock Introduction After breeding Charollais sheep for the best part of 30 years we now feel the time is right to disperse the Parkgate flock. We have always strived to promote what we believe to be an outstanding breed by bringing our stock to shows & sales across the country and encouraging new younger enthusiasts into the breed.

Along the way we have had the privilege of meeting some excellent breeders who share the same passion for the breed as ourselves, and have built up great friendships which I am sure will continue for years to come. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who have helped us over the years, and who have contributed to making the Parkgate flock what it is today.

We offer a selection of top quality sheep for sale and look forward to the pleasure of your company on the 13th October Herbie & Alan

Health Status The flock is MV accredited and Scrapie Monitored and all sheep are on the Heptavac P+ system.

Most ewes will be ARR/ARR as only ARR/ARR rams have been used in the past 12 years.

Export All sheep are Eligible for Export.

Northern Ireland Available for direct export to Northern Ireland on sale day.

Scanning Results All ewes will be scanned with results available on day of sale or printed in catalogue. The results are only a guide and not a guarantee to the number of lambs at birth.

If any female sheep described in the catalogue as being scanned in lamb or in lamb proves not to be in lamb within 7 days after the sale, the purchaser must give written notice to the auctioneers of his intention to return the animal supported by a veterinary surgeons certificate that such sheep has proved not to have been in lamb.
