Sold under the Conditions of Sale as displayed in the Mart recommended by the Livestock Auctioneers Association for England and Wales

The auctioneers shall not be liable in any way for any deficiencies in either the vendor’s tagging of his sheep nor the reading equipment being used at the CPRC in accordance with the EID Regulations nor any reading or print out produced by the said equipment.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that any animals destined for the food chain are outwith any withdrawal period. This includes antibiotics, anthelmintics or sheep dip that the seller may have given prior to sale.

Vendors All Sheep consigned to this Sale must be accompanied by a completed AML1 movement document and all vendors must ensure that holding and flock numbers are supplied Please ensure that all Sheep are ear tagged to comply with regulations.

Purchasers Please have available the holding number and address to which the animals will be moving.

No lots can leave the market without a pass slip and movement licence issued by the main office.

CONDITIONS OF SALE 1. The sale will be conducted according to the rules of the North Country Cheviot Sheep Society inconjunction with the Conditions of Sale recommended by the Institute of Auctioneers and Appraisers in Scotland 2. All ewes must be guaranteed in lamb by the vendor at the date of sale. If any female sheep which was described in the catalogue or at the time of sale as being in lamb, proves not to have been in lamb at the time of sale within 21 days after the day of sale the purchaser gives written notice to the auctioneers of his intention to return the animal, supported by a veterinary surgeon’s certificate that such sheep has proved not to have been in lamb, then the purchaser may return such sheep to the vendor.

3. All sheep will be sold in pounds sterling 4. All sheep to be sold singly and in catalogue order 5. All sheep will be identified with tags hung around their necks or stamped.

6. All sheep must be penned before the start of the sale otherwise they will not be sold 7. The descriptions of the lots are believed to be correct, but not intended as warranty, and therefore shall be taken with all faults and errors of description 8. All sheep sold as correct in mouth and udder unless otherwise stated 9. Any disputes will be resolved between purchaser and vendor 10. Errors and Omissions: The Auctioneers can accept no responsibility for any errors or omissions printed in this catalogue
