GENERAL INFORMATION & SALES NOTES LOCATION: The sale will be held in Borderway Mart, Carlisle, Cumbria. Motorists should leave the M6 at Junction 43 and follow ‘Carlisle’ Sigs. The Market is on the left hand side of the road within ¼ mile of M6.

Saturday 22nd May 8am – 10am Beltex Only 8.00am - 9.00am SALE: Saturday 22nd May 10.30am CONDITIONS OF SALE: The sale is held under the respective Breed Society Rules and the Livestock Auctioneers Terms & Conditions (LAA). All sheep will be sold in Guineas (105 pence), with a commission of 5.25% being charged on all sheep. No sheep to be presented while suffering from any contagious disease. All sheep must have ear tags to comply with current ministry regulations. The vendors shall be responsible for all faults. The buyer has one hour after the end of the sale to lodge a complaint.

ONLINE BIDDING FACILTY: All intended purchasers must register prior to the sale at www.harrisonandhetherington.co.uk and click on Online Sales, for further information.

PRE-SALE INSPECTION: All sheep forward for the sale will be subject to a Society Inspection. Any animal which does not reach the inspection standard will not be eligible for sale.

The Inspection decision will be final and any animal failed will be removed from the sale and forfeit the entry fee. No appeals are permitted.

NUMBERING: All sheep will be identified by either back stamp or neck numbers as per catalogue and will be sold in catalogued order, unless any alterations is announced by the Auctioneer. The vendors are responsible for taking their sheep to the sale ring and returning them to the pens after being offered for sale.

SETTLEMENT AND CLEARANCE OF STOCK: Settlement in full is due immediately at the close of sale. No animals may leave the sale premises without an official ‘pass slip’ obtained only from the Auctioneers upon settlement.

RESERVE PRICES: Vendors shall have the right to accept the final bid for their animals.

The auctioneers reserve the right to charge half commission on the amount of the final bid in the case of animals which fail to reach the vendors reserve price.
