We’re delighted to welcome you to our first online sale.

We focus on the fundamentals that make North Country Cheviots so special, and we’ve been fortunate to build our foundation on exceptional bloodlines. We look for feminine ewes with natural breed character. In short, animals that embody the working ability this breed is renowned for. We scan at 175180% most years, and our ewes consistently rear their lambs with minimal intervention. That’s the kind of performance we’re breeding for, and it’s what we hope these tups will bring to your operations.

These tups have been managed commercially. They’ve not been pampered or wrapped in cotton wool. We lamb in late April and May, and these are the cream of the crop from our 2023 lambs. We hope they will do well for you and strengthen your flocks.

Special thanks to Matthew McLaughlin and Alan Elliott, for preparing these rams for our sale. We are confident these tups represent honest, working genetics that will get on with the job. That’s what North Country Cheviots do best, and it’s what we’ve tried to breed into every animal we’re offering.

As a shearling Diamond Lad had an infection in his right ear which left it displayed low but is sound.

Diamond Lad is a 3 shear tup with a tremendous dept of body and correct in every way, sired by Vantastic out of an Allanshaw ewe.

Diamond Lad is similarly bred as Glebefarm Class Act, that was purchased by Roderick Rucimen and went on to breed Allenshaw Jen, 2024 Highland Show champion and Eye Candy, 2024 Lockerbie Champion selling for joint record price of 15,000 gns.

As his name suggests, this we feel is a special tup. Not only does Extra Special boast tremendous conformation and super top, he has immense pure white hair and clean colours, a great eye and full of breed character. He is by Crystal and out of a Glebefarm Ewe by Vantastic out of an Allanshaw ewe.

We feel one of the best balanced tups in the sale, true to breed type with a bright eye and good head with clean colours. Out of Allanshaw Crystal and one of our own Glebefarm ewes. sire : Allanshaw Crystal

This truly is an epic tup with a nose end to die for and built like a tank. A great skin and very correct, this is a tup could add a lot to anyone’s breeding programme. Another great Allanshaw Crystal sired tup.

Eye Opener is a long clean scouthy big tup, with a great skin and good colours and a big eye. Eye Opener is out of a very breedy Glebefarm Ewe which goes back to Wardshill breeding.

Empire is a lifty well balanced sheep, another Allanshaw Crystal son displaying power, length and a good top, bred from a Glebefarm ewe.

Excel is a good honest well balanced tup with lovely white hair and dark colours out of a Glebefarm ewe boasting Allanshaw and Wardshill in his breeding. Excel should prove to be a solid breeder again sired by AllanShaw Crystal

Endurance is a well conformed and tight skinned sheep, by Crystal and out of a Glebefarm ewe. Endurance has a small cut on his right side on his neck from a hurdle it is well healed but still noticeable.

Endeavour, not the flashiest sheep in the group but none the less a good correct all rounder. Again sired by Allanshaws Crystal from a great Glebefarm Ewe.

Elite is a compact well put together tup with good breed character, beautiful silky hair with a black nose end and a bright eye. Sired by Allanshaw Crystal from a Glebefarm ewe out of Vantastic.
