R & A SLACK COCKLEY BANK LTD, COCKLEYBANK, HEADS NOOK, BRAMPTON, CUMBRIA This is the fifth sale to dispersal the herd comprising 17 of the most recently calved cows and heifers The herd average was 8500kg 4.21% butterfat 3.43% protein on twice a day milking. The herd is housed in cubicles throughout the year and the ration is grass silage and blend with the fresh cows getting fed to yield at milking. The genetic provider is Genus ABS. The herd has been GMS (Genetic Management System) mated for a number of years now. Currently the younger portion of the milking herd is sired by Coldsprings Ponder, Bassingthorpe Bossman, Regancrest Beau, Ralma Gold Crown, Chalclyffe Ransom, Morningview Levi & Winning Way Canada. Herd Health The herd is vaccinated for IBR & BVD. Lepto is monitored using a bulk milk sample and the herd is clear. The herd is in the SAC Herd Health Scheme and all cows are blood tested for Johnes at drying off. All animals are tested clear of Johnes. The herd is in a TB 4 year testing area and there has never been a case on the farm. The last TB test was in 2014. 101

Sale Conditions
Sold under the conditions of sale as displayed in the mart recommended by the Livestock Auctioneers Association for England and Wales Please ensure all paperwork is handed into the office at least 1 hour before the animals enter the sale ring All cattle must be double tagged with Ministry approved tags and information supplied on the respective entry forms It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that any animals destined for the food chain are outwith any withdrawal period. This includes antibiotics and anthelmintics that the seller may have given prior to sale. Payment will only be made to the exhibitor. No lots can leave the market without a pass slip being issued by the main office TB Testing: All cattle over the age of 41days moving out of yearly testing herds must be premovement tested within 60 days prior to the sale. The yearly TB testing interval of the herd consignment will be provided on the display board at the point of sale. The yearly testing interval will be signified by the numbers 1 or 4. The information is given for guidance only, Harrison & Hetherington Ltd accept no responsibility for any consequences of such information All purchasers have two working days from the time of sale to satisfy themselves that all documentation received is correct and any discrepancies must be notified to the auctioneers within the time limit No cow or heifer in the last 10% of pregnancy (approximately 27 days), or that has given birth in the last week, are considered not fit for transport, and are also unfit for presentation at a market. UDDER WARRANTY Unless otherwise stated or announced, any cow or heifer in-milk at the time of the sale shall carry a Vendors Warranty that she is correct in udder and teats at the time of sale. Any claim under this warranty must be notified to the Auctioneers within one hour of the close of the sale, which can be submitted on an oral basis. If the auctioneers are satisfied that the udder is not correct in all respects, and does not comply with the warranty given, the sale of the animal can be cancelled.
