FOREWORD This special day is really all about the Holstein cow and the incredible difference it can make in the lives and businesses of those who care for these amazing animals. The Wright family are a wonderful example of this, farming in an area that can only be described as heaven on earth for its amazing views and natural beauty but not really a particularly easy farm to manage as a dairy. In many ways, this is what makes the Berryholme herd one of my favourite herds to visit in the world.

Berryholme is famous for the success in the show rings over the years and not many herds have three National titles to display in the trophy cabinet. However, in my opinion the Berryholme herd is so much more than this and I hope you can all be with us on Thursday 22nd July and see with your own eyes what I am trying to say.

This special group of sale animals is exactly what the front cover says ‘The Best of Berryholme’ and both the pedigrees and animals back this up. FLO, ERLE, RAE, ASHLYN, APPLE, REDROSE, FLANSCO, DANDY & LASENZA all feature in this outstanding group of animals. Every pedigree is blessed with either Excellent or Very Good dams combined with impressive production and longevity.

Probably the BEST heifer to ever sell from Berryhomle sells, BERRYHOLME SILIVO FLO (Lot 10). She needs to be seen to be believed and is the perfect modern animal. She has the potential to be a National winner.

Lot 16 BERRYHOLME DOC WHISKEY is another heifer I feel deserves a mention. Sired

by King Doc and bred from a delightful young cow that I know will be a crowd favourite on the open day. Her dam Berryholme Mogul Whiskey EX92 flirts with perfection her third dam was an excellent brood cow in Canada breeding several special daughters.

Another favourite within this world class herd is Berryholme Doorman S Flo EX93, she was the winning Junior 2yr old at UK Dairy Expo in 2019. Her Apple Crisp daughter sells lot 11.

BERRYHOLME EMILIO FLO will be the first to be offered in The Best of Berryholme.

This young cow is the epitome of balance sired by Wilt Emilio, her grand dam is the prolific brood cow Posh Flo. BERRYHOLME CALLEN RAE is another serious cow from the Rae line of the Roxy cow family. She sells as lot 4 and both these cows are the modern kind that breeders around the world now value highly.
