1. Entry is open to MV Accredited Sheep only. 2. Commission will be deducted at a rate of 5.25% on all sheep sold. 3. A Society Levy of 1% will be deducted from the vendor’s account and paid to the Badger Face Texel Sheep Society 4. All sheep will be sold under the Conditions of Sale of the Livestock Auctioneers Association. 5. Transfer Fee- A fee of £5 will be charged to the purchaser is they wish to transfer their purchase to their flock. 6. All sheep to be fully registered with the Badger Face Texel Society . All sheep must have official ear tattoos or tags and also be tagged in accordance with the relevant DEFRA regulations. The Vendor shall be responsible for the correctness of identity. 7. Pre Sale Inspection- All sheep forward for sale will be subject to a Society inspection. Any animal which does not reach the inspection standard will not be eligible for sale. The inspection decision will be final and any animal failing, must be removed immediately from the sale and forfeit the entry fee. No appeal is permitted. 8. Substitutes – Details of Substitutes must be submitted to the Auctioneer/ Society Secretary 24 hours prior to sale. 9. The Badger Face Texel Sheep Society Sub-Register allows females registered with the Beltex, Blue Texel & Texel (inc Dutch Texels) Society’s to be used for Badger Face Breeding. All females entered into the Badger Face Sub-Register can only be bred with a Badger Face Ram. These animals entered in the Sub- Register are not guaranteed to breed Badger Face Texel Sheep. If resulting offspring are correctly marked with Badger Face Markings they can enter the main registry or female offspring retained in the sub registry to be used for future breeding.
