General Information & Sale Notes Location: The Sale will be held at the Borderway Mart, Rosehill, Carlisle, Cumbria situated close to the M6 Junction 43. Motorists (from north or south) should leave the Motorway at this Junction and turn west towards Carlisle on the A69. The Mart is within1/4 mile of the Motorway (filter left at the traffic lights) on the Rosehill Industrial Estate. Timetable of Events: Tuesday 15th February Arrival of Stock 5pm - 7pm Timetable of Events:
Wednesday 16th February Arrival of Stock 7am onwards Show – 10.00am Sale 11am Method and Order of Sale: All animals will be sold in guineas (105 pence) and strictly in catalogue order unless any alteration is authorised and announced by the Auctioneers. Conditions Of Sale: The Sale is held subject to the Auctioneers General Terms and Conditions of Sale (printed in this catalogue) and to the Auction Rules and Conditions of Sale from respective Breed Societies. The latter Conditions are not so printed but will be displayed in the Sale Premises and available to those purchasers who require them, in booklet form. Settlement And Clearance Of Stock: Settlement in full is due to the Auctioneers immediately at the conclusion of the Sale. No animal may leave the Sale Premises without an official PASS, obtainable only from the Auctioneers upon settlement and all stock should be cleared from the sale premises on the day of the sale. Pedigree Transfers: Cattle in the sale are registered with the respective breed societies and will be officially transferred and pedigrees for all these animals will be effected by the Auctioneers and the Society as soon as possible after the sale - free of expense to the Purchasers. Commissions: The Auctioneers will faithfully execute commissions to purchase on behalf of buyers unable to attend the sale in person upon receipt of written notice and instructions received in their office not later than 48 hours before commencement of sale. Over the past two decades the Drointon herd owned by Andrew and Debbie McKellar who farm near the famous Staffordshire County Show grounds, have consistently sold their very best heifers and the results speak for themselves. In 2018 the Drointon herd placed third in the Holstein Premier Herd competition an incredible achievement that backs up the herd slogan that Drointon Delivers. Currently the herd is milked in a new state of the art robotic system where the 97 strong herd is averaging over 13000kgs. This brief list of accomplishments is only a few heifers that the Drointon herd have sold over the years. ·

Drointon Jordan Brenda sold Black & White sale 2008 and won Super Heifer at Agriscot in 2009. She classified EX92 and made a massive lifetime yield.

Drointon Journalist Sara sold EX Factor Sale 2007 to Quim Serrabbasa Spain and went on to be Junior Champion Spanish National 2007. She developed into an Excellent cow in Spain and has developed a strong cow family there.
