Only staff, livestock hauliers, owners or their agents are permitted to load or unload livestock.

General Information & Sale Notes LOCATION: The Sale will be held in the Borderway Mart, Carlisle Cumbria. Motorists should leave the M6 at Junction 43 and follow CARLISLE signs. The market is on the left hand side of the road within 1/4 mile of M6. VIEWING: The cattle will be available for viewing at Borderway Mart, Carlisle on the morning of the sale, or prior inspection is most welcome by appointment with the vendors (page 1). CONDITIONS OF SALE: The Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society have adopted the Auction Rules and Conditions of Sale drawn up by the N.B.A. This Sale is held subject to these rules and the Auctioneers’ General Conditions of Sale, both available on request. In the event of any discrepancy between the two sets of conditions, the N.B.A. Conditions of Sale shall prevail. INSURANCE: A representative of the H & H Insurance Brokers, will be present at the sale and will be pleased to quote Purchasers for transit and other risks. METHOD OF SALE: All cattle will be sold in guineas (105 pence) and strictly in catalogue order, unless any alteration is announced by the Auctioneers. COMMISSIONS: The Auctioneers will dutifully execute commissions to purchase for buyers unable to attend the sale personally, upon receipt of written instructions. REGISTRATIONS: All stock in the Sale are registered with the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society. PEDIGREE TRANSFERS: Official Pedigree Transfers will be effected by the Auctioneers and the Aberdeen Angus Society as soon as possible after the Sale. Dispersal Sale of the

COPPERIDGE HERD on behalf of Neil Dobson t/a Weald Moor Farms FORWARD The Copperidge Herd was formed after the dispersal of Wall Herd in 2011 based on two cows that were unfit to travel up to Carlisle plus frozen embryos which were retained in store. The two cows, Wall Royal Lady 408 and Wall Lady Ruth 405, have similar breeding out of cows that go back to the Geis Herd Canada both by Wall Emperor 222 again out of a Geis female Erica Star 254. These two cows families have had a profound impact on the Angus breed in the last 5 years, along with Wall Lady Ruth E397 sold to Richard and Carol Rettie her progeny have gone on to dominate the Angus show rings in the last few years her progeny can be found in many of the top herds in the country. It would take a whole page to list the show successes, but include Championships at the Royal Highland, Great Yorkshire and all the major calf shows both sides of the border. Royal Lady E408 her daughter Copperidge Royal Lady 933 (lot 34) won Champion calf at the Stars of the Future 2014, The Black Beauty Bonanza and East of England Smithfield 2014. She has matured into a great cow herself and sells with two heifers both showing exceptional promise â€“ an in-calf heifer (lot 35) by Cardona Potter and a weaned calf (lot 34A) by Donaumoos Zorro. Royal Lady 408 was the dam of Wall Royal Lady 663 who was top price Wall dispersal selling for 11,000gns. Her bull calf sold at foot, Wall Royal Leo, now stands at Cogent AI station. Royal Lady 408 has proved herself capable of breeding top females and bulls that are easy fleshing with tremendous rear ends. These cattle were tested privately by the vets LLM in August for IBR, BVD, LEPTOSPIROSIS and JOHNEâ€™S all were negative a copy available from the auctioneer.
