Page 1

THE

VEILED HORIZON PAVILION BY NINA-LI MCNAY

CONCEPT I abstracted Andre Derain’s Paysage de neige a Chatou into a three-dimensional pavilion that allows viewers to immerse themselves.

PATHWAY

Vibrant colors, organic lines, and movement transform the painting into an experience.

HEADQUARTERS

SITE

By sculpting tree forms painted white to symbolize snow and incorporating a reflective glass mosaic rooftop veils the painting’s color palette, creating scattered light that enhances the visitor’s immersive experience.

ORTHOGRAPHIC

The design directs movement toward the central vanishing point—a sculptural tree surrounding the middle of the pavilion.
