Fenlon, Foster and Potestio Win Election

Winona Lakes Property Association is pleased to announce the results of the 2013 election for three positions on the Winona Lakes Board of Directors. Congratulations are given to Robert Fenlon, Janet Foster and Steven Potestio, whose terms commenced immediately following the announcement of the results. Each director will be serving a three year term. In addition, Connie Rogers will be assuming the role of Ombudsman.

A total of 325 voting ballots were received by the accounting firm of William Owens and Company. There were 20 ballots disqualified due to being received after the deadline and 15 ballots were disqualified due to lack of signature. This left 290 voting ballots to be counted. There were seven candidates competing for three open seats on the board, as well as one candidate running unopposed for Ombudsman. The specific results of the election, which took place on October 19, 2013, are as follows:

Robert Fenlon, a founding member of Winona Lakes Home Owners for Reform, has stated that his top priorities as Director will focused on road maintenance, bylaw amendment protection and annual due reduction. “[The new Board of Directors] will reinstall honesty, transparency and integrity,” he said. “There is more to be done better and better days lie ahead.” Robert said that he is committed to end the last two years of corruption and bylaw violation. Janet Foster, also a member of Winona Lakes Home Owners for Reform, feels that her voice will be a strong representation of the Winona Lakes community as a whole. “I have watched our community over these 25 years go from despair to greatness and back to despair,” she said. “I believe in transparency because it promotes trust and honest behavior.” Janet, who describes herself as a former fly on the wall, vows C o n t i n u e d o n pag e 9
