When every day has **BREAKING NEWS** When Ireland cancelled St. Patrick’s Day and all the churches in Rome were closed, it became very apparent that this virus, now considered a pandemic, was not to be taken lightly. New phrases were added to our everyday vocabulary which included: The new normal, shelter in place, stay at home, stay safe, disaster declaration, social distancing, quarantine, shutdown, state of national emergency, cancelled, suspended, closed, CDC Guidelines, flatten the curve, essential business/non-essential, distance learning, google classroom, ….. Following the developments on the network news stations also offered a crash course in microbiology, epidemiology, statistics, world geography, economics, and basic hygiene. The Tanglwood Lakes Community comes under the jurisdiction of Pike County and the State of Pennsylvania and naturally took action when guidelines and directives were issued. Starting in midMarch our residents via the “email blast” received updates on the latest developments issued by the White House, the Pike County office or Governor Wolf’s office. The email blasts offered timely health and safety tips, information on the grocery stores, takeout food, deliveries, travel restrictions, important phone numbers, dispatch from the Tafton Fire Company, how to disinfect areas, essential
