Chalet Deck Expansion Halted; New Phone System for Admin. Office Locust Lake Village (LLV) Property Owners Association (POA) board Vice-Chair Carrie Pohl noted in her remarks at the board’s May 20 meeting a trend that continues to take place at board meetings in 2017: increasing attendance. Elated, Pohl encouraged those in attendance to “tell other property owners to come to the meetings so

that they will see that we’re doing things to improve the Village.” May’s meeting agenda proved her point.

Time To Run And Vote The process to elect new board members to the Locust Lake Village (LLV) Property Owners Association (POA) Board of Directors is under way. According to LLV Election Committee Chair Harry D’Onofrio, POA members in good standing who wish
to run for the board have until July 14 to submit their credentials which include completing a candidate’s questionnaire and securing a petition with five signatures in order to be placed on the ballot.
Candidates will be running for three-year terms to fill four open seats on the board.
“The names of those who wish to run will then be placed before the POA board for nomination to the ballot at the annual board meeting in July,” said D’Onofrio. “Ballots will then be mailed to POA members in good standing for them to vote.” Deadline for returning ballots by mail or in person to the LLV Administration Office is 12 noon, Aug. 16. Results will be tabulated by the Election Committee and submitted to the board for its acceptance at the Aug. 19 monthly board meeting.
