Dougherty Out as LLV Community Mgr. The fate of LLV Community Manager Dan Dougherty Jr was determined at the July 21 meeting of the Locust Lake Village (LLV) Property Owners Association (POA) Board of Directors. By a vote of 6 to 3, the board terminated Doughertyâs employ. âI believe it is in the best interest to terminate the manager in accordance with our Bylaws and separation package,â said Chair Wade Burchell. âWe have a succession plan in place, and I am comfortable with this.â Under LLVâs Bylaws, six votes are required to dismiss the community manager. When Burchell called for the vote to terminate, the board voted accordingly: those for termination: Tony Ruggiero, Bill Dorner, Al Markin, Bob Wolek, and Dee Kasarda; those against termination: Carl Piazza, Diane DiSandro, and Carrie Pohl. With one vote short of the required six for termination, Burchellâs vote was the deciding factor. âIt was

Three Seats Filled By Mary Friel, Election Committee Chair
Property owners in good standing voted in this yearâs Board Election to fill three, three-term vacancies on the Locust Lake Village (LLV) Property Owners
Association (POA) Board of Directors. Elected from a field of five candidates were Tony Ruggiero â 317 votes; Bob Christensen â 312 votes; and Steve Geffen â 271 votes. Fran Odyniec received 185 votes and Karen Avery 115 votes. LLVâs Bylaws stipulate that the candidate who received the next highest number of votes in the recent election will replace a board member who chooses to resign. From a total number of 1,059 ballots sent out, 412 votes were cast or 39 percent of LLVâs members in good standing voted. Of those 412 votes, 162 or 39.3 percent of LLV membership voted electronically, 80 paper ballots were collected from the lock box at the administration office, and 170 paper ballots were mailed to LLVâs accounting firm, William Owens and Company, certified public accountants, in Carbondale, Pa.
