Historical Society Remind Families in Your Community
Dingmans Ferry Hotels
A blast from the past describing some of our Village Hotels/Resorts by Fred Cron, the son of one of the past hotel owners. Hear what it was like in the days when guests travelled many miles to enjoy what Dingmans Ferry had to offer. Presentation will be held Thursday, September 16th 7:00PM at the Delaware Township Municipal Building. Members have been actively working to complete renovations to the Historical Museum at Akenac Park. We are planning our Grand Re-Opening for Saturday, September, 21st at 10:00AM to 4:00PM. Admission is free.

In addition, on this same date, we will be holding a community yard sale. Booths will be available to anyone wishing to participate in selling their items. Reservations for a spot are required; you can contact us at www.admin@dingmans ferryhistoricalsociety.org for additional details and/or to reserve your spot. The Township Fall Festival will also be held on this same date so attendance should be exceptional.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
We are extremely excited to announce a special program, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, on October 21st at 7:00PM at the Township Building. It is our pleasure to have Johnathan Kruk live and in person to present a program for children and adults alike. Jonathan Kruck is a professioal storyteller. He was named “Best Storyteller in the Hudson Valley” and has been featured on The Today Show, ABC Good Morning America, CBS Sunday Morning, the BBC, the National Geographic Channel, radio WHUD WAMC “Listen with the Lights On.”He appears in costume and has live musical accompanyment.
As always, this presentation is FREE. Donations to offset our expenses for these presentations are greatly appreciated. We hope to see you there!
