Brotherhood, America’s Oldest Winery, was recently named the Small Business Administration NYC District 2014 Small Business Exporter of the Year and is competing for national honors. Brotherhood will celebrate 175 years in business in the fall. Specialty performance ingredients maker Balchem Corp. recently agreed to acquire Performance Chemicals & Ingredients Co. for $567 million. Founded in 1967, Balchem provides state-of-the-art solutions and the finest quality products for a range of industries worldwide. The company consists of three business segments: ARC Specialty Products; Food, Pharma and Nutrition; and Animal Nutrition and Health. The Bruderhof Communities in New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Florida were recently recognized in the Congressional Record in honor of the 60th anniversary’ of the founding of Woodcrest, the first Bruderhof community in the U.S. Community Products, LLC, based in Rifton, is part of the Bruderhof community.
