Over the years, one thing has become increasingly clear to me: while the world continues to change at an extraordinary pace, the aspirations of young people remain remarkably consistent. They want opportunities. They want confidence in their abilities. And most importantly, they want a chancetobuildabetterfuture forthemselvesandtheirfamilies.

During my visits to our centres and communities, I often meet learners who are excited about the future but uncertainaboutwhatitwilldemandofthem

Oneyounglearnerrecentlysharedaconcernthatmanyofushaveheardbefore:"Theworldis changingsofast.HowdoIknowIwillbeready?"Itisavalidquestion.

While technologies, industries, and workplaces continue to evolve, some qualities remain timeless The ability to learncontinuously,adapttochange,communicateeffectively,solve problems, and work with others will always matter. Increasingly, these human skills must be complementedbydigitalconfidenceandanunderstandingofemergingtechnologiesthatare shapingthefuture.

Across NIIT Foundation's programs, we are seeing young people embrace this challenge with determination Whether they are learning digital skills, preparing for employment, building financial literacy, or exploring entrepreneurship through initiatives like ChangeMaker Academy,theyaredemonstratingresilience,curiosity,andawillingnesstogrow.

What inspires me most is that many of them are thinking beyond their own success. They wanttocreateopportunitiesforothers,strengthentheircommunities,supporttheirfamilies, andcontributetomeaningfulchange.Inmanyways,thatiswhattrueleadershiplookslike.

However, these transformations rarely happens overnight They are built through learning, encouragement, opportunity, and the collective efforts of trainers, partners, supporters, employers,andcommunitieswhobelieveinthepotentialofeverylearner.

As you read this, I hope you see not only the progress that has been made, but also the possibilities that lie ahead. Together, we are helping young people move from learning to leading,andfromaspirationtoachievement.

The world of work is changing faster than ever before, and nowhere is this more visible than in the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Tasks that were once considered entry-level are evolving, workplaces are becoming increasingly technology-enabled, and employers are looking for candidates who can adapt, learn continuously, and work confidently alongside digital tools. For an organisation committed to improving employability, this means constantly learning,adapting,andstayingaheadofchange.

AtNIITFoundation,ourprogramshaveevolvedinresponsetothesechanging realities. In recent years, we have begun integrating AI awareness and digital productivity tools into several training programs to ensure that learners are preparednotonlyfortoday'sjobs,butalsofortheworkplacesoftomorrow.Our focus is on making emerging technologies understandable, accessible, and relevant,especiallyforyoungpeoplefromunderservedcommunitieswhomay otherwisehavelimitedexposuretothem.

This evolution builds on lessons we have learned over the years. We realised earlyonthattechnicalskillsalonewerenotenoughforlong-termsuccess As a result, we strengthened our programs with life skills, communication, grooming, interview preparation, financial literacy, and workplace readiness modulestohelplearnerstransitionmoreconfidentlyintoemployment.

Astechnologycontinuestoreshapeindustriesandjobroles,ourcommitment remainsunchanged.Wewillcontinuetoadaptourprograms,anticipatefuture skill requirements, and equip young people with the knowledge, confidence, and capabilities they need to build sustainable careers in an increasingly technology-drivenworld.

A new hybrid mode of conducting online examinations for Speech and Hearing Impaired (SHI) youth has also been formulated. Its certification provides an industry-recognized benchmark, ensures market alignment, and encourages employers to recruit and supportsuchyouth.

While pursuing her graduation, preparing for government exams and looking for work to support her family, Neha struggled with limited professional exposure and lack of proficiency in computerandtypingskills ThroughtheProfessionalEdgeProgram, Neha developed confidence and strengthened her technical and professional abilities. She emerged as a class topper through her sheer determination. Neha gained the confidence to pursue financialindependenceandherdreamofbecomingaprofessor.

Looking for a new direction, she enrolled in NIIT Foundation's ChangeMaker Academy (CMA), where she transformed an idea into a business opportunity Through mentorship, practical activities, and business planning sessions, she gained the confidence and skills needed to launch EESHWI Designer Studio with two partners Today, the venture is in its early growth stage, withaclearvisionforexpansionandcommunityimpact.Anusha hopes to create employment opportunities for women and inspire others to believe in their own potential and entrepreneurialdreams.

I had an amazing experience interning at NIIT Foundation. I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the students and conducting debates and groupdiscussionswiththem.

It was truly inspiring to see how, despite many of them being hesitant initially, their confidence, enthusiasm, and willingness to take part graduallygrewovertime.
