Jessica Starling hails from the Great White North so I had to ask this bodacious babe about the adult industry in Canada compared to the USA. Jessica went straight to the point in explaining how different it is in her home country compared to the likes of the adult industry hubs we have here such as Miami, LA, and Tampa.

“There is no comparing the small Canadian porn scene to what is going on in LA, Miami, or Las Vegas. There simply is not enough infrastructure to support it— there’s nowhere to get industry-standard testing, no talent agencies, only a small handful of niche studios, and performers far and few between. I know some local performers, but nowhere near the volume in LA.”

I got a whiff of Jessica Starling’s excellent musical tastes when she posted about some bands on social media so I had to ask her what the ideal soundtrack to a porno would be. Her response was both practical and further revealing of her awesome ear for good music.

“In porn, the sounds I like hearing most are the sounds the performers are making, but I think subtle, ambient music could add to the experience. But offcamera, I love to have sex to grunge like Alice in Chains or black metal like Carpathian Forest.”

Her vision goes beyond the artistic combination of good music and the quality porn she has sex in. I asked if she would one day sit in the director’s chair as part of the natural evolution of a performer. Jessica’s response was exciting if you consider yourself a fan of Starling’s art.

“I would love to direct my porn movies someday! I want to create porn that is dark, creative, and weird. I also want to create more work opportunities for people in my community that historically

have not had opportunities in the same capacity as other performers, such as trans performers and performers of color. As for a mainstream project, I would love to make a horror movie—it’s on my bucket list!”
