BUNGALOW HOUSE DESIGN HUMBLE HOME Information
Software used: Revit Architecture AutoCAD 2019
Design brief
The Bungalow House design signifies a humble home that every people need. The design concept of the house is humble home that pays attention to its functionality and impact to the users. The house has a porch in front, spacious carport for two vehicles, and other essential spaces for a house such as kitchen, dining, bedroom, and toilet and bathroom. The house also boasts its skylight window, facing the garage, crawling all the way towards its roof. It also maximizes its wall by providing green walls to effectively improve the site’s microclimate. The pavers used on the garage’s floor are impermeable to make it more breathable and efficient for rainwater runoff. On its façade, the house highlights its unique coffered canopy that defies gravity with its two unsupported ends.

Design brief
The redesigned bungalow house design is my grandfather’s provincial house in Laguna. My grandfather always wanted to have a house that is intimate and cozy for his family, thus the design approach in the house’s redesign lies between intimacy and vibrancy. The house sits on a 100 square meter lot that maximizes its space for interior function. The spaces inside are intimate but spacious for the end users. The house boasts its white exterior paint that exudes elegance. Green pavers can also be seen in front minimize footprint. The use of glass walls are also considered to ensure that the interiors are naturally illuminated. The glass walls also allows the end users to maximize the view of natural landscape around the site that boasts the lush green trees and rice fields. There are numerous fenestrations around the house that allows the wind to pass through the interior. Hot air in the interior exits the house through clerestory window following the principle of stack effect. PRTFL 2021 PAGE 8
LIVING AREA INT - 01 Software used: Revit Architecture 2019. The space provides an intimate experience with the users. The glass panels highlights the natural landscape of the surrounding area during daytime, adding to the interior’s cosiness. The trusses are exposed to achieve a sophisticated vibe of the house. Furniture are of neutral colours and finishes.
BEDROOM INT - 02 Software used: Revit Architecture 2019. This space provides a sleeping area for the users and at the same time working area below the loft beds. The room is wellilluminated at night and naturally lighted during daytime through the clerestory window. While the room provides limited space for the users, the design still follows standard dimensions and anthropometrics to provide comfort to the users.

Design brief
This house has unique design features. With the design maximizing the entire lot, the house comprises mainly of two parts: the main house and the two rentable spaces on the rear part of the building. The consideration of rentable spaces makes the edifice incomegenerating and avoid house investment from merely being a stagnant one. These rentable spaces have access to the main house which makes them usable to the owners when these rentable units are not occupied. The house also boasts its elegant façade with clean lines, an accented canopy on the roof deck, unique plant box on top of the building, and its skylight that naturally illuminates the interior spaces of the house.

Design brief
Living next or close to your parents’ house when you’re married has always been a part of Filipino culture that exists even today. The proposed residential building is composed of two equal units presenting to look like one. The house represents Filipino’s culture of living with extended households under one roof but modified by creating two separate units to build independence and privacy, and at the same time achieve close proximity and accessibility with the end users. The two units have the same functional spaces inside like living area, dining area, dirty kitchen, kitchen, bedroom, master bedroom, t&b etc. The only difference is that the other unit has a bedroom on the ground floor to accommodate and consider senior citizen’s needs. The two units share spaces in roof deck and open area at the middle to provide natural day lighting and ventilation for their interior spaces.

FAMILY AREA
PRTFL 2021 PAGE 18
The façade has equal features on both sides. The addition of horizontal ledge combines the two units making them look like only one unit. The wood slats add texture and patterns on the façade and extend towards the roof slab creating a pergola to provide shade and grip for crawling vegetation. The doors and windows are placed strategically to provide good natural illumination and ventilation inside the two units. The windows are awning type to provide wider access for winds to enter the house. The doors have glasses also for day lighting. The structural diagram shows the reinforced beams and columns of the proposed edifice.
The design of the two units considers the addition of open spaces to encourage wind to pass through doors and windows positioned in these areas. These open spaces also provide opportunities for interior spaces to be naturally illuminated.
Firewalls are 0.15 meter thick to ensure that fire cannot penetrate the lot’s perimeter. PRTFL 2021 PAGE 19

This second scheme still has the same functional spaces and number of units compared to the first scheme. The difference is that the front setback is wider and the approach on its façade is more discreet and contemporary. The façade boasts its wood slats that serve as a functional design for privacy and sun shading. To make the two units look like one, the addition of two beams are designed to promote cohesiveness and unity. These beams create a unique frame for tall vegetation like palm tree to be the façade’s focal point.

There are still open areas considered in the space planning to ensure that sunlight and wind can go inside the house. The two units are designed and seated on a 192 square meter lot. There are no firewall in-between the two lots because the two units are designed to be occupied by the users’ family only.

REST HOUSE DESIGN PROJECT TREEHOUSE EXTERIOR PERSPECTIVE Lumion 10
Software used:
Design brief
Revit Architecture AutoCAD 2019 Lumion 10 This proposed rest house is envisioned to be a modern tree house. The design concept, tree house, has its ladder for access and mini enclosed space built on top of the tree. The design elements borrowed from this typical plan are the tree’s branches and its ladders. The proposed design copied the tree’s branches for its unique inclined supports for the roof slab. The slab stretches outside to achieve greater shade inside the house. There are provisions for revolving glass doors below these roof supports to ensure that the spaces inside are naturally ventilated to mimic the experience that the users are below an actual tree. To mimic a typical tree house, instead of providing a ladder, the proposed design highlights its stairs by painting it yellow to show that the design still follows the experience of climbing a tree house. CONDOMINIUM UNIT RENOVATION PROJECT ROTATE The proposed design for the renovation of a condominium unit revolves around the concept of rotate. The unit’s floor plan has a challenging configuration limiting the users to fully maximize the use of their furniture and appliance. To widen the public area of the unit, the enclosure of the bedroom next to the master bedroom will be removed and will be converted into a mini bar to accommodate more guests. Since the users really loves to watch television shows, the design approach highlights the position and the design of the television stand which can be rotated to ensure that the users can still watch shows anywhere within the public area of the unit: Dining Area, Living Area, and Mini Bar.

PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT PROJECT HARVEST
Information
Software used: Revit Architecture AutoCAD 2019 Lumion 10
Design brief
The Proposed Philippine International Airport is situated in the Central portion of the island of Luzon specifically in the city of Gimba, Nueva Ecija. This emerging city has been one of the most progressive city in Central Luzon and ranked as one of the most livable cities in the Philippines in terms of banking. In addition, viable spaces for housing projects, commercial complexes, and tourist facilities were immensely encouraged to be erected. This encouragement made this city a potential and an ideal location for an International Airport. With the urban blooming, the province remained its status being the country's biggest producer and distributor of rice in the entire archipelago. To connect to the International Airport, Design concept will be "Harvest" to pay tribute to the province's soul identity and to represent Filipinos through their staple food - Rice.

Passenger Terminal’s Façade Design
Since the airport will be called as Philippine International Airport, the design concept harvest would want to express the ideology between the country's desire for progression and wealth. Harvest is simply a symbolism for bounty, health, and abundance. This concept would create a platform for the Philippines to produce common ground for foreign lands to trust and invest in the country.
The façade features a decorative grillwork which emphasizes the curve of a palay that links to the project’s Design concept- harvest. This also acts as a protective element against seismic forces to ensure the building endures lateral movement when earthquake happens.
In terms of the Airport's specifics, the Harvest design concept would bring an aura of coziness and relaxation for passengers. Cool colors of green, blue, and white are some hues that would surround the whole Airport mimicking the vibrancy living of locals on the rice fields. The interiors of the Airport would be filled with trees and rice fields to attain the moisture and odor during harvest season. The addition of mist would be a great backup to obtain the ambiance in a rice paddy. PRTFL 2021 PAGE 31

The Proposed General Tertiary level Hospital with Learning and Cancer Institute will change the course of typical Hospital that often portrayed as unpleasant and heavy Institution. Through harnessing and mobilizing the potential role of the environment in the healing process of health medications, Biomimicry will serve as a central core of the design typology imitating the operation of natural healing. This envisions the hospital to embrace nature and to incorporate details of it to aid and fasten the recovery of patients. Courtyards, Healing gardens, Natural lighting and ventilation, Color Imitation, Material selection, Accessibility and mobility approach, etc. are some applications of Bio mimicry that channels and utilizes the power of nature in the design of General hospital.
This Proposed General Hospital basically gives HOPE with the help of Nature itself. In addition, the environment of the hospital will copy how nature works. The ambiance of the Hospital shifts to a more relaxing, hopeful, and tranquil place that invites patients to forget about their condition and improve health status.

VERTICAL CITY Design brief
PROJECT PERLA DEL MAR DE ORIENTE Due to its natural beauty and resources, Philippines is undoubtedly a spectacular haven of natural wonder. Due to its preciousness, the country is always likened to a clam pearl which is a hard-shelled mollusk that often times produce a shiny and expensive pearls. The environment of the hospital will copy how nature works To showcase the wonder of the Philippines, A proposed Vertical city that characterizes the identity of the country is said to be a huge help in making the Philippines known. Just like any other first world countries, the Vertical City, which is named as the Perla Del Mar de Oriente, will be a skyscraper in Manila that will serve as the country’s branding in terms of tourism development. In connection to the identity of the Clam pearl, the Vertical city is also stable which can withstand massive earthquakes and typhoons. The location of the site is also similar to the places where clam pearls live because the site itself is actually a reclaimed land which is originally a body of water and with human intervention turned it into a parcel of land. With its physical look, the building is consists of three separate buildings with an elliptical mass on its centre. The three buildings symbolizes the clams while the elliptical mass symbolizes the pearl.

KALAYAAN: A PROPOSED MARTIAL LAW MEMORIAL COMPLEX
The footprint of Martial law during Marcos regime greatly shaped the society we have today. Well-documented data and narration from people who experienced it first-hand dictate the dark times’ impact, especially to the victims of Martial law. Today, many are still experiencing historical ignorance from the event and most people neglect the existence of human rights violations. To educate the public about the true happenings during Martial law and to commemorate the victims who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s freedom, Republic Act 10368 ,also known as the Human Rights Victims’ Reparation and Recognition Act of 2013, was passed and a provision of erecting a museum/library/memorial is realized under section 26 of the said law. The relevance of the project today highlights the nation’s vulnerability of experiencing Martial law-like event in the future if historical ignorance will still be left untreated. The project’s core holds on to the awakening and education of the public to ensure that such event will Never again snatch the freedom of the Philippines.
PRTFL 2021 PAGE 38
The project revolves around the design concept Kalasaysayan which is a combination of Kalayaan (Freedom) and Kasaysayan (History) which represents the significance of Martial law in the Philippines. Kalayaan focuses on the freedomseeking movement of people and their fight towards the end of dictatorship, while Kasaysayan highlights the importance of martial law converted into architectural approach through the massing concept, site planning, space organization etc. These two are combined to equate unique typology that truly embrace historical significance oriented towards social/ transitional justice. The concept is presented through collaboration of deconstructivism and brutalism that highlights unique and free volumes. The concept is translated into architectural massing that interprets and narrates Martial law happenings.

STAGE DESIGN
Aside from my academics, I volunteer in a Christian youth organization called Elevate as a designs ministry head. I, together with other student volunteers from different universities in manila, designs the stage of the organization inside Robinson’s Manila. The organization has different series every month that requires different stage design suitable for a specific theme. The designing involves conceptualization, budgeting, procurement of materials, and execution of design plans. Below are some of the stage designs I spearheaded with the help of my designs team.
