The EYS offers a play-based, inquiry-led program focused on whole-child development for children aged three to five Our nurturing environment fosters curiosity, celebrates strong social connections, and utilizes the outdoors as an extendedclassroomfordiscoveryandrisk-taking.
Instruction is delivered in English while supporting the continued development of the student's home language We ensure personalized attention with an exceptionally low student-toteacher ratio (1:5). The average class size is 15 students in PK, 18 in K1, and 22 in K2 Every classroom has a dedicated lead teacher and an assistantteacher.

The ES program builds on early foundations through a standards-based, inquiry-based approach that encourages curiosity and independent thinking. Our curriculum uses an integrated and interdisciplinary model to connect core subjects (Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies,andSpanish).
A unique feature is the Changemakers curriculum, which transforms traditional Science and Social Studies into authentic, consequential learning by fusing literacy skills with global goals (like the UN's Sustainable Development Goals). MiddleSchool(MS) Grades:6-8

The Middle School program is designed to meet the unique developmental needs of young adolescents (ages 11–14), balancing rigorous academics with robustsocial-emotionalsupport.
The academic core includes Humanities (an integrated English and Social Studies course), Science, Math, and Spanish. The schedule runs on a seven-day rotation, meaning classes change daily to keep students engaged. A central part of the MS experience is the Advisory program, which places students in a small group of around 12 peers to focus on social-emotional skills and build community.
Students explore a wide range of interests through our Encore program (Performing Arts, Visual Arts, & Technology) and an Exploratory program that offers eight short courses each year After-school activities include Model United Nations (MUN), athletics,andvariousstudentclubs.

The High School offers programmatic choice, allowing students to explore their interests and design their personal pathways. Committed teachers deliver a robust curriculum that emphasizes discussion, experimentation, creation, and the transfer of ideas to new and novel situations Our High School prepares students for admission to top universities worldwide by offering three distinct diploma tracks: the Nido Diploma, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, andtheChileanNationalDiploma.

At Nido, we are committed to removing barriers to facilitate learning and developing an inclusive learning community where everyone feels a sense of belonging. We use a MultiTiered System of Support (MTSS) to proactively identify learner needs and provide increased, tiered levels of academic, social-emotional, and behavioral support. This system ensures early identification and intervention, helping all learners access the curriculum, build foundational skills, and prevent learning gaps.

The Guidance and Counseling Team offers short-term, solution-focused counseling and proactive programming to build essential social-emotional skills. Support is efficiently coordinated by the Student Support Team, which brings together faculty and specialists tocreatecustomizedactionplans.
Social-emotional learning is intentionally embedded in all grade levels, progressing from foundational problem-solving in the Early Years to reinforcing core values in Elementary School. Our program ensures multilingual learners (Grades K2–12) quickly become confident English users who thrive academically. In the Early Years, classroom design inherently supports multilingual learners. In Elementary School, students receive in-class support or intensive instruction through the EAL Academy in grades 4 and 5. In Middle and High School, support is provided through the English for AcademicPurposes(EAP)courseorintensiveEALclasses.
LEARNINGSUPPORT
Nido provides ongoing academic support to students with identified learning challenges. Qualified specialists offer skill-based support in reading, written expression, math, executive functioning,andsocial/sensoryneeds,tailoredtoindividualneeds.
Specialists collaborate closely with teachers to remove barriers, ensuring students receive necessary classroom and assessment accommodations documented in their Individualized LearningPlans(ILPs).Supportisdeliveredbothinandoutoftheclassroom.
The school also features a Learning Resource Center (LRC) providing access to external OccupationalandSpeechTherapyservices.

Nido offers bus transportation services through a private provider to many areas of Lo Barnechea, Vitacura, and Las Condes. For more information on routes and fees, please contact our Transportation Office at transportation@nido.cl.
Our cafeteria, managed by EasyFood, provides a variety of healthy and delicious meals for students. A daily lunch special is available for all grades, as well as a selection of salads, sandwiches, andsnacks.

The Health Unit is staffed with three nurses and two physical therapists Paramedics support our staff during sports and special events. Nido students have accident insurance through Clínica Alemana, which provides coverage for traumatic accidents 24hoursaday.
Students in EYS and ES must wear any combination of the Nido uniform In MS and HS, students are required to use either the uniform or spirit wear for PE classes. Uniforms can be purchased at Scolari (www.scolari.cl), and spirit wear attheNPAStore.

HOLISTIC REVIEW
The admissions process ensures a good fit between each student and our academic program. The review process considers:
Academic Background: Previous school records (minimum GPA of 5.5 on the Chilean scale or equivalent), attendance history, and learning profile.
Assessments: Age-appropriate evaluations (e.g., GDO-R for Early Years; MAP Reading and Math for older grades).
Language Proficiency: As English is the language of instruction, proficiency is a key factor, particularly for Middle and High School applicants.
