Market & Industry architecture design studio prof. Ar. Ajita deodhar , semester - 5

BRIEF

Regarded as Asia’s largest slum and the location of flourishing leather and other hand-crafted industries,The studio project embodies two major fragments, the industry (small scale) and the market (retail + wholesale). The program is an effort to have a juxtaposition of these two aspects, the industry as an introvert and silent operating tool for the market which is an extrovert connecting to its immediate audience as consumers.
AIM
The proposal aims to bring back the origins of Dharavi by creating an flow of spaces further bridging them through arch walkway which will give the design language for the city and uplift their community.
