VERTICAL FARMING :
The site is situated near the mini forest which holds a stretch of plantation trees such as eucalyptus and other local trees such as rain trees, coconut and Ebony. It also acts as a park in an urban landscape. Unfortunately, due to the increasing concrete jungle, the number of green pockets is reducing. So the chance for vertical gardening and vertical farming is coming to light The main function of the building is a library which is open to the settlements around and also to all the schools and colleges present. The other is the research and implementation of vertical farming to increase the green pockets in the city landscape. This is coordinated with the agricultural colleges near the site.
Vertical Farming is being taken as the other primary function of the structure. it hopes to help in the research of vertical farming in buildings, and their terraces. Midori coordinates with some agricultural colleges to further implement urban and landscape in the city.

IDEA SKETCHES Small spaces as seating Multiple Platforms are present at various levels reaching from the ground floor to the second floor. These platforms change their function as per user requirements. They could be used for group discussion or can be a simple individual workspace. The bookshelves are placed at the edges of the platforms and act as partitions. A library can also be a space for interaction.

RAY LIVING SPACE DESIGN FOR SATYAJIT RAY SKETCHES AND RENDERS
The project brief was to utilise the house from the movie ‘Parasite’ and design interior spaces for the famous Bengali director Satyajit Ray. The interiors of this house are simple and sleek in design. The furniture, lights etc are all designed to complement the layout and lighting of the house. The design focused on keeping the existing style and adding new elements to suit Ray’s convenience. The concept is derived from the way of life Satyajit Ray lives. The things he uses, the work he does, etc. Inspired by the graphical art he has done, the furniture and layout have been designed. The daily activities are looked upon in detail which leads to the creation of specific spaces and also in the design of the furniture. Satyajit Ray was an Indian film director, writer, and illustrator. He designed posters for his movies himself. He wrote many stories and illustrated many books and publications. Satyajit Ray always has his study to be covered in books and with a sketching board, and this specific table in front to keep things handy. His room would be highly illuminated to suit his work. Simple design with efficient space to facilitate his work is required. Hence these textures, furniture, lights, and space.

The central area of the parasite house has to be divided into multiple spaces facilitating the needs of Satyajit Ray. A step-up is provided to divide his semiprivate and private spaces. The relaxation space and the music composition area are towards the seamless glass facade letting in light into the space with the garden in view. The workspace forms a cosy corner surrounded by books and the furniture is custom designed to satisfy his needs. The other spaces include the living room in which he could communicate with other directors and friends as well as watch his movies. The resting space is for him to relax and listen to music during his leisure time.

YADALAM INTERNSHIP : RESIDENTIAL PROJECT RENDERS, PLAN ITERATION
This is a residential project where the client requested to renovate his 35-year-old bungalow. The concept involved opening the spaces and creating a conversation between them. Using materials such as brick to bring all spaces together with the courtyard as the central space.

The idea is to connect the entire house with the courtyard as the central space. This is done using brick as the key element and other complementing materials. The courtyard extends out to the living space, games room and bar. The brickwork spans along the corridor to the bedrooms. I was given the task to render the common areas and the balcony space. With this experience, I was able to understand the nature of lighting and how materials can change the essence of the space. My rendering and time management skills improved drastically.

PODDAR INTERNSHIP : RESIDENTIAL PROJECT RENDERS AND TECHNICAL DRAWINGS
04
During my internship, Poddar Residential project was at the construction stage. I was tasked with renders and technical drawings. Working on this project helped me understand drawings and learn skills to design spaces. I was able to improve my efficiency due to the strict schedule the project had. The firm focused on functionally convenient buildings integrated with aesthetically pleasing elements.

Documentation is done in Turuvanur Village in the Chitradurga Taluk of Karnataka State in India. This part of the village is documented as a group of three including myself and my classmates, Sujan S Yadav and Swetha Hiranya. SREENIDHI SIRIPI PORTFOLIO
Turuvanur is a village in the Chitradurga Taluk. The village is named after Turuvappa Devaru, a deity worshipped in the village. The word Turuva, according to the villagers, means cow, and the god Turuvappa was the protector deity of the cattle. A unique small circular structure has been constructed for Turuvappa Devaru, which also acts as a landmark for the people. The village is also known for its contribution during the fight for freedom where they protected their land and resources from the British. Raring of cattle was the earliest form of occupation in the village due to the presence of vast grassland. Over time, these grasslands were converted to agricultural fields and presently, agriculture is the major occupation in the village.
Materials commonly used in the village are Kadappa stones and granite. For beams and columns, coconut is used as other available wooden logs. The roofing is flat slabs which are formed by using planks on top of wooden rafters and adding mud on top of them to keep the space below cool. The spaces in the houses are multi-propose in nature. For lighting, pots are embedded into the slab creating openings. The cattle are placed outside the house or in a room detached from the house.
