By Franz Kafka
Translated and adapted by David Farr and Gisli örn Gardarsson
Directed by Dr Benjamin Schostakowski
One day, Gregor wakes up to find himself transformed into a monstrous insect.
In this live cinema event, Kafka’s startling 1915 fable meets 21st century theatre. The Samsa family are baffled, then revulsed by what Gregor has become. As revulsion turns to rejection, strange things start to happen to everyone…This is the story of Gregor Samsa.
It is also the story of anyone who has been made to feel monstrous. 'Metamorphosis' is directed by NIDA’s Head of Directing Dr Benjamin Schostakowski, an award-winning director and alumnus of NIDA’s directing course from 2013.
