Advertising agencies will need to provide their own agency commission. A 10% fee will be ch arged for guaranteed placement . Invoices due upon receipt . Payment with order is required for new advertisers until credit is approved. Accounts outstanding more than 30 days incur a 1.5% per month finance charge. In the event of a ca ncellation or change in your advertisement , cancellation or change should be submitted in writing to the Publisher prior to 10 days of the space deadline date.

The cancellation fee is 20% of the remaining contract rate or $500, whichever is greater.

ACCEPTABLE DESKTOP FILE FORMATS: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and PDFs created with Acrobat Distiller only.

IMAGES/SCANS:

All images/scans should be 300 dpi saved as a TIFF or an EPS. We cannot accept Pantone/PMS or RGB colors or 72 dpi (i.e., image pulled from a website). All images provided on disk must be in CMYK format and color corrected. We are not responsible for color on RGB or PMS files that must be converted to CMYK. Please make sure process separation is checked for all process color builds. BW scans should be saved as grayscale or bitmap.

TRIM AND BLEED SPECIFICATIONS:

Please make sure document ’s dimensions are correct .

Build pages to trim size, and if bleed, extended dimensions beyond page edges by a minimum of 1/8”.

Keep live matter 5/16” from trim size. Bleed allowance: 1/8”.

With the American culture changing right before our very eyes in recent years, new and different trends are settling in as previous ones are on their way out. This creates what many refer to as a “generational gap,” or a difference of outlook or opinion between people of different generations.

One could take music as an example of this phenomenon.

Many of today’s parents find it difficult to genuinely enjoy today’s modern genres of music that the majority of newer generations are into, such as Hip-Hop and Rap. Artists who are praised as musical geniuses in America, including Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Beyonce, Cardi B, Drake, and many more, are often disapproved of by individuals from older generations.

However, despite this “generational gap” anomaly, there is still an aspect of American life that all generations can identify with: self-discovery. It’s an existential equation that every person yearns to solve with the correct answer. Except, many people fail to realize that there are different answers according to each individual.

Each person on this earth is completely distinct and unique from the one next to him or her. This sounds simple and almost obvious, but try thinking about the people you see every day. Realistically, most of them interact with those around them based on external influences. Of course, these are expected to exist in someone’s life, whether it be culture, celebrities, or even the people around them, but this is where many people become confused or distracted on their paths to self-discovery.

So many people become obsessed with these external influences and completely desert the path to self-discovery altogether. This results in the person essentially becoming somebody completely divergent to their true selves. Furthermore, I believe that the teens of the 21st century are the worst victims of this subjective

dilemma. I believe this so strongly, because I have seen it every day throughout my freshman and sophomore year, and I have no doubt that I’ll continue to see confused individuals walk the halls of my high school until the day I’m throwing my graduation cap in the air.

Now, I’ll admit, I struggle with this issue alongside my high school peers. So, recently, I’ve been doing things that I believe help guide me on the correct path to discovering myself and what I am to essentially do with my life. I do the things that I love to do. I also surround myself with people who I believe strive to be themselves as well. These are just a couple of things that we can all do to help discover our true selves and step toward the correct path to self-discovery.
