For 135 years, Nichols School has provided an exceptional education that prepares students for the work of life. As an independent school, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of a Nichols education, and we rely on our community’s generosity, not government funding, to bridge the gap. Contributions vary in size, but our goal is 100% parent participation, because every gift directly impacts our students every day.
NICHOLS FUND The Nichols Fund is our annual fundraising initiative that bridges the gap between tuition income and the actual cost of an exceptional education. Accounting for more than 10% of our annual operating budget, contributions from families, alumni, and staff directly sustain our unique academic environment. You can make an immediate impact though cash, stock, pledges, matching gifts, or planned giving.

Capital Campaigns at Nichols School Capital campaigns secure transformative resources for long-term projects that benefit Nichols School for generations. Building on the success of our All iN Campaign, which raised $66.3 million for our faculty and students, the $40 million Nichols’ Next Century Campaign will lead our next era by transforming the physical campus. The campaign will restore the iconic Albright and Mitchell Halls into world-class spaces that reflect the excellence of a Nichols education, anchored by a campus-wide geothermal energy system.

A signature glass-enclosed space that nearly doubles Nichols’ creative technology footprint, with incubator spaces and a two-story showcase arena to inspire innovation and collaboration.
• Center for Visual Arts: A dynamic,
light-filled center with flexible studios, digital media equipment, and gallery space designed to inspire creativity and collaboration. • Sustainable Geothermal Infrastructure: A geothermal system that heats and cools both historic buildings, reducing our carbon footprint and establishing a campus-wide energy grid. • Best-in-Class Learning Environments: Six renovated floors of academic classrooms with flexible, inspiring spaces designed to support exceptional teaching and learning for future generations. • Next Generation College Counseling Center: A purpose-built space with private meeting rooms, collaborative areas, and resources to support students and families throughout the college search and application process. • Universal Campus Access: Elevator access to every level of the core academic campus, creating a more inclusive, connected campus for all.
