As the summer heats up, NHPTV invites you to travel the world from the comfort of your own home. Whether you choose to dive into a rare, natural world or investigate other cultures, we have plenty to satisfy your inner explorer. It wouldn’t be summer in New England without a few adventures right in your own backyard. In season 13 of Windows to the Wild, host Willem Lange takes you birding in the Boston Public Garden with Talkin’ Birds host Ray Brown. Next you’re invited on a unique “Holy Flotilla” of Episcopal bishops and their Lutheran colleagues on a trip down the Connecticut River. Later this summer, Willem introduces a new generation to an iconic Applachian Trail tradition, camping for the night and making friends at the newlyrenovated AMC lodge at Little Lyford Lake in Central Maine. And we’re celebrating the adventure of every day life through storytelling with our newest production, Our Hometown. Host Rebecca Rule and the production crew will take the show on the road this summer to Milford and Littleton. Join us as we collect stories and capture the essence of these unique towns and preserve the spirit of the places we call home. Thank you for your support. Peter Frid, NHPTV President & CEO

Weekend in Havana

Join Geoffrey Baer on a trip to Havana, and explore the city alongside the people who live there. Baer’s “high-octane” tour guides include a local architect, a flamenco dancer and a Grammy-nominated musician. They reintroduce Baer and his audience to the vibrant color, culture and history of a beautiful and sensuous city only recently re-opened to Americans. See this rich and memorable place in an entirely new way.
