Connections Tugging at the Strings of the Heart & Ears Pavlo: Live in Kastoria

Opa! Known for its picturesque lakes, the mountains of Greece come alive with the sounds of Pavlo's mediterranean guitar music. Nature: Giraffes: Africa's Gentle Giants What does it take to relocate a herd of wild giraffes in Africa? One man, his family and a band of enthusiastic helpers guide these gentle giants into trucks, drive four hours to the Nile River, cross the river via a ferry and then release them in a safer habitat to breed. The film captures all the drama of this difficult and dangerous operation in Uganda’s Murchison Falls National Park with Dr. Julian Fennessy and the team hoping that a successful relocation will lead to more missions to protect these rare giraffes.

June 2018

You Are the Essence of NHPBS

As I write this, I'm thinking about the New Hampshire PBS production team and their recent accomplishments. An army of staff and freelancers just wrapped up eight full nights of LIVE television with our 45TH SPRING AUCTION; a small crew is in their second weekend of recording local stories for the show, OUR HOMETOWN: LITTLETON; and our intrepid team of three (including Willem Lange) just finished taping this season's final episode of WINDOWS TO THE WILD on Belknap Mountain in Gilford. To me, this is what local public television is all about. Our staff is small, but our goals are big. We aim to offer you the best local programs and services that you can't find anywhere else. PEOPLE LIKE YOU POWER THE PROGRAMS ON NHPBS! On June 30th our fiscal year ends, but we're looking ahead and finalizing our 2018-2019 programming plans. And your extra generosity right now will help us continue our efforts. With every dollar you give to NHPBS, you are with us on the trail, you're enjoying front row seats at a concert, you're celebrating 500 stories from the NHPBS KIDS WRITERS CONTEST and you're allowing us to capture the stories of New Hampshire. We are focused on the future, and that means you and the great state we live in. Thank you for your continued support.
