EVERYTHING IS BIGGER IN TEXAS! Opportunity Awaits: October 1-3 in

San Antonio, Texas!

Everything is bigger in Texas, including the excitement about our annual convention. On October 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, San Antonio, Texas, will host the 2025 NHLA Annual Convention & Exhibit Showcase at the beautiful Marriott Rivercenter on the River Walk.

The schedule has opportunities to enhance your business and broaden your networks in many ways. Tee off at the Inspector Training School’s annual benefit golf tournament on Wednesday morning at the newly remodeled Quarry Golf Club. Or attend one of the education sessions to engage with experts on hardwood market trends, financial management, and strategies to reduce insurance risk and cost; you’ll find valuable opportunities to connect and learn. The Exhibit Showcase will be packed with 120 vendors that offer everything from “soup to nuts” for the hardwood industry. At this Texasthemed convention, there will be something for everybody.

The Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening will provide all attendees with a complete immersion in the culture of San Antonio at the Espee events venue, just a short walk from the hotel. The kickoff event will feature complimentary food and drinks, and a can’t-miss photo opportunity with a Texas Longhorn. If you still have room for dinner, you can enjoy one of the fantastic restaurants within walking distance, including many on the beautiful River Walk.

Thursday’s breakfast buffet will be followed by the convention’s Opening Session, where we will all have the opportunity to hear from nationally renowned economist Taylor St. Germain, whose economic forecasting will be very beneficial during these uncertain times. The Exhibit Showcase will have its grand opening following the Opening Session. It will include a variety of suppliers of hardwood lumber, vendors of state-of-the-art technology and equipment, and service providers for industry necessities like logistics and insurance. In addition to a Gourmet Popcorn Station on Thursday, both days of the Showcase will feature a Bloody Mary Bar, a Beer Station, and an extensive lunch buffet.

The Western Night Networking reception at the hotel will be another of the many opportunities to mingle with a thousand or more members of the Hardwood community at this convention. Along with delicious Tex-Mex food and drinks, all convention attendees can enjoy the camaraderie that our long history of conventions provides. Don’t be surprised to see a few cowboys and cowgirls moseying around that evening.

Friday’s events also begin with a full breakfast buffet followed by our General Session, where our membership will elect six new board members and receive a State of the Association presentation from our Executive Director Dallin Brooks. The Exhibit Showcase will reopen after the meeting and conclude with a Grand Farewell Finale, where those staying will be eligible for some fantastic prizes you won’t want to miss.

Throughout the convention, there are plenty of other networking and educational opportunities, including updates from AHEC Executive Director Michael Snow and Hardwood Federation Executive Director Dana Lee Cole. The National Inspector Hub and the Inspector Training School Alumni Reception are ways to connect with our exclusive events. There will also be an opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket for a Ruger American Gen 2 rifle with a custom-made walnut stock to support the Real American Hardwood Coalition.

You’ll see plenty of familiar faces—perfect for renewing old friendships—as well as many first-time attendees eager to build new connections. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to network at the premier hardwood convention in San Antonio, Texas. I hope to see y’all there!
