OBJECTIVE Given the design challenge presented by Exhibition class, research was conducted to explore options for an exhibition. The aim is help student learn how to apply the concept to a large area and how to create a connection between the artist and the design of exhibition. Through the brief I largely focus on the lifestyle of artist and apply his style in art on the space, the feature detail like walls, ceiling and the furniture. Because this artist’s works mostly were done by the high-tech device, therefore, technology is very important to describe what I want to show to the audiences.
CHILDCARE CENTRE
The childcare centre is a assignment in my second term of the third year. The provided location located at 1 Fitzwilliam Street, Parramatta, NSW, 2150, Australia in the terrace of the Raffles College of Design and Commerce campus. The challenge is student have to design the childcare centre in the terrace and have to meet the safety requirement from the BCA. There are the particualar figure in childcare centre design such as the how large enough for the kichen area with a particular number of child or how large the toilet is. The functional position of the important areas such as medical area, staff area or cot room have to be set well.
HI-END RESTAURANT DESIGN (BATHER PAVILION RESTAURANT)
The Bathers' Pavilion is the place to take visitors in Sydney. Even Sydneysiders will be quietly chuffed by the crisp, modern dining room designed to take in stunning views of Balmoral Beach. The restaurant serves dishes that showcase European culinary traditions, with seafood the star of the menu. Savour the meal and the service, then linger for the view, the rare wines and the digestives.
