Toonies for Seniors much. For years, she has poured her heart into mak‑ ing sure seniors have a safe, dignified place to live. Last year, thanks to her leader‑ ship and the generosity of volunteers and donors, four new units were built, an incredible achievement. Now, Janne and her team are dreaming even bigger with the Million Toonie Challenge. Their goal is to raise $2 million to build 12 to 16 more homes. It’s a bold vision, but one that feels possible when the whole community comes together. They’re inviting families, friends, and busi‑ nesses to request or make their own jar and drop in a toonie each day. It’s such a simple act, but when thou‑ sands of us do it, it becomes something powerful. And if you’re hosting an event, a family gathering, a wed‑ ding, a community cel‑ ebration please consider placing a jar there too. Every toonie is a small gesture of kindness that adds up to real change. Be‑ cause at the end of the day, this isn’t just about hous‑ ing. It’s about honouring the people who shaped this community and making sure they can continue to call it home.
