Good morning! After attending the Pension Conference in Mombasa last week, I’ve been reflecting on a significant challenge affecting our pension ecosystem: the lack of strategic brand communication and collaboration among key players, ranging from fund managers and custodians to trustees, administrators, and contributors. This disconnect is hindering the potential for transformative projects crucial for our nation and region. I firmly believe that by addressing this communication gap and implementing tailored marketing strategies for each segment, we can unlock new opportunities and drive positive change.
As the founding trustee of the Kenya Pension Fund DC scheme, I’ve witnessed firsthand the importance of effective communication in reshaping the pension landscape. I understand the power of engaging with others on a personal level and the impact of compelling storytelling. I’m committed to transforming statistics into narratives that engage the five senses and foster a unified vision.
With this ethos, we’re launching Pensiomonics magazine, both in print and online, to serve as a collaborative platform for policymakers, beneficiaries, and all stakeholders in the pension arena. We want to demystify pensions, urging early planning and emphasizing that securing one’s financial future is always viable.
As an author and publisher, I’m dedicated to leveraging Pensiomonics Magazine to drive this change. We seek industry support to establish this platform as a neutral ground for meaningful discussions on pensions, recognizing their role in economic empowerment and societal development.
