I completed a 14-week in-person internship at Raymond James Ltd. Toronto office working alongside the Private Client Group team.

In my future, I want to pursue a career in institutional banking or private equity.

avoyer21@ubishops.ca I joined the fashion show committee as communications director, I volunteered for a community clean up, I joined the flag football club, etc. I also started gaining more experience in case competitions by participating in Bishops University’s Commerce Society’s case competition and by taking the case competition class.

I am also involved in many things outside of school. I started playing rugby last year and I was promoted at my summer job from lifeguard to first aid attendant.

Like my family, so many people have the dreams of seeing their business succeed and I want to work with them and share the tools as well as knowledge I’ve gained which can and will make those dreams a reality.

I resided in my hometown of Yuma, AZ; with a high population of low income families. With support of my employer at that time, I was able to coordinate a County wide food drive. This consisted of the distribution of food to the community of four separate cities that make up Yuma. We were able to provide over 500 families with groceries at a time when they needed the most help.

Jacob Curtis

jacob.curtis@uvm.edu My career goals center around the accounting profession. I will start my career in public accounting in Fall of 2023 at Gallagher, Flynn & Co. in South Burlington.

Long-term, I may come back to academia and teach accounting to undergraduate students.

Patrick Man

pman@uvm.edu Patrick seeks areas with problems and discovers solutions accordingly. He found problems within the UVM community regarding mental health. He started the UVM Art Club, creating a welcoming environment for all students. When Covid hit, UVM’s Alternative Energy Racing Organization almost came to an end. He took that as an opportunity to restructure the club to make it more accessible.

With the startup of the UVM Academic Research Commercialization Accelerator, he defined structure and repeatable processes to create a system that would last.

Annie Rowell

annie.rowell@uvm.edu Annie has a range of experiences in corporate sustainability, agriculture, real estate, and local politics. She worked as the Vermont First Coordinator for Sodexo since 2015, leading their Vermont First initiative to build and implement Sodexo’s statewide local purchasing strategy. Prior to her role with Sodexo, worked as a Program Manager at the Center for an Agricultural Economy in Hardwick, Vermont, with a focus on opening up regional institutional and wholesale markets for produce farms across northern Vermont.

Senior Media and Communications Chair Dbates1@uvm.edu After graduating from UVM with a concentration in Business Analytics and Marketing and a theme in Sustainability, I hope to combine my business degree with a strong passion for the outdoors. My goal is to learn more about how companies can incorporate Sustainability into their business models, and how their goals can better align with the social and environmental demands of the world today. I am thrilled to learn more about the outdoor industry through my upcoming internship with Mammut and look forward to training hard after college to pursue my climbing goals and aspirations.

My goal is to continue learning about climate finance and to work to increase company reporting transparency on key environmental and social metrics. All investing has an impact, but I hope to leverage my knowledge to allow for positive impact to become the predominant narrative.

Ambassador trang.do@uvm.edu Trang is a Global Marketing and Finance major, with a minor in Behavioral Neuroscience. She values client-facing, socially/environmentally impactful projects that allow for creativity and connection. Recently she returned from an internship at Weeksville Heritage Center, a non-profit CIG in NYC, and is finishing up her final year serving on the university’s Tower Society, a senior honors fellowship. Trang is looking to pursue a career in consulting and design in the city after graduation.

Ambassador sophia.larizza@uvm.edu Sophia has interned at a local art center where she assisted in community events. In addition, she gained experience in her intended career as a marketing intern at a financial services company during the summer of 2021. While interning, she gained certifications in Google Analytics for Beginners and Advanced Google Analytics. She also worked on projects, such as merchandise proposals, creation of media content, and database updates. Sophia will be studying abroad in Madrid this coming semester where she hopes to gain a more holistic view of business internationally.
