36TH ANNUAL HBCU FAIR
WELCOME TO THE HBCU FAIR! Dear Friend, Welcome to the New York Urban League (NYUL) 36th annual Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Fair. The HBCU Fair is presented in partnership with the Malcolm Bernard HBCU College Fair, Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park, and the New York Urban League Young Professionals. As is our tradition, this year’s HBCU Fair will offer students access to over 40 HBCU admissions representatives, alumni, and staff, along with college and scholarship resources. There will also be workshops and guest speakers focusing on helping students gain the knowledge and tools necessary for them to move to and through higher education. For qualified seniors, several schools will offer on-site admissions, fee waivers, and scholarships. This unique opportunity allows students an opportunity to gain early admission to many highly competitive institutions. The HBCU Fair will conclude with an authentic HBCU Experience, which will include a panel composed of recent alumni discussing their college journey. We hope you will enjoy everything this day has to offer. I would like to especially thank our sponsors Wells Fargo, Amazon, Audacy, Fidelis Care, National Grid, PayPal, Key Bank, Municipal Credit Union, Chick-fil-A, and Melba’s. Thank you for supporting our efforts and investing in the lives of youth in our communities.

36TH 36TH ANNUAL ANNUAL HBCU HBCU FAIR FAIR
WELCOME TO THE HBCU FAIR Dear Friend, Welcome to the New York Urban League (NYUL) 36th annual Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Fair. As we celebrate our 25th Malcolm Bernard HBCU College Fair, we are pleased again to partner with the New York Urban League on this first stop in our multi-city tour. This Fall, we will visit New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia. Our team always enjoys our first stop here in New York City. The Malcolm Bernard HBCU College Fair is a non-profit, volunteer organization that partners with community and state agencies to introduce a multitude of students eager to learn about higher education opportunities to college admissions representatives from the campuses of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The HBCUs on this tour range from Alabama A & M University to Xavier University, with majors as diverse as Architecture to Zoology and everything in between. Take time to meet with the schools that we have assembled for you to explore. The recruiters in attendance are uniquely situated to answer questions, admit students, and award scholarships. Knowledge is power! We hope that you will enjoy this impactful day.

DJ TEDSMOOTH
New York City-based DJ Tedsmooth (Teddy Rafael Mendez) has been a staple of the New York City club scene for nearly three decades. DJ Tedsmooth has been the force behind some of the hottest remixes, many of which can be attributed to taking already hit records to the next level. Regularly endorsed by radio and his DJ peers, his remixes can frequently be heard on air and in clubs around the world. Tedsmooth’s skill goes far beyond a DJ. The artist, producer and songwriter is responsible for co-writing and producing Lumidee’s Billboard Hot 100 tune Uh Oooh, The Voice of Harlem’s classic No Music, and has also produced records for other artists like Grafh, Busta Rhymes, Styles P and Vado.
